Haven’t read this one yet (and I guess it’s a little different style), but Wheeler’s articles on prospects like this are really well done. His McGroarty piece was pretty good, I loved the Vinzenz Rohrer one (I was already partial to him as a mid-round pick and that just made me more encouraged), and his article on Nick Moldenhauer and his recovery was excellent.

Wheeler is my favorite writer at the athletic, even if I don’t agree with everything he says. He just puts out a lot of quality content. His article on Nazar was great too.

I need some quick help from you guys
Who would you take out of Mateychuk, Kulich, or Kasper?

I mean, it depends what you need, if you’re deep at C and desperately need a 2-way LD then going with Mateychuk would be fine over those two (presumably in the early teens). I’d rank them Kasper then Mateychuk then Kulich though, and think Kasper will almost definitely be off the board before Kulich, and very likely ahead of Mateychuk (sounds like a majority of teams prefer Korchinski as the first LD, which would be the one fighting with Kasper for first off the board ~8-12).

Mateychuk easily, he’s the best of the bunch

2/3 Stars prospects are nominated for CHL player of the year, would’ve been 3/3 if Bourque played the entire year.
