His slap shot is deadly, he has 30 goal potential from the dline
Hes part of a new breed of Dman who like to slap shot and I love it. Like it seems so many Dman these days refuse to do it. While the younger guys are bringing it back which im all for as a pass first mentality is not what you need out of an offensive dman.
Rielly could take some pointers thats for sure as imagine him slap shooting on the PP. For some reason he stopped doing it and I dont get why while Sandin has been doing it and often its been rewarded with either a goal or assist or prime scoring chance.
It shocks me Ryan Craig still has a job as Vegas's PP coach
Like since their creation Vegas PP has not been good. Even now with the additions of Stone, Pacioretty, Pietrangelo, among others its ironically gotten worse.

For a team that needs to win now it seems they have prioritized the wrong area as while defense is nice scoring is also important as why even bother to draw penalties if its the equivalent to being shorthanded for them
Gallagher is a top 10 rw in the league, Kotkaniemi is a middle 6 C. I think I’d rather pay the star
Gally is definitely not a top 10 RW anymore. He was really good with Danault and Tatar, but on his own he can’t reach those heights. Plus it remains to be see if his scoring touch will ever return to his past effectiveness after his injury last year.
Tony Marinaro just said he'd have given Kotkaniemi 6.1x1 before giving Gallagher 6.5x6, what do you think?
I don’t know, Gally isn’t quite the same without Tatar and Danault and who knows how he’ll do now but he’s still a good top 6 winger in theory and Kk was one of my favourite guys, such a though choice. We also currently have more of a need for centers than wingers and Kk is younger so I’d maybe go with Kk but ideally we’d have both somehow
I disagree. Canada's defense has the potential to elevate an average goaltender to an elite goaltender. Even if we let in 2GA per game, the offense has the potential score 4.
You but you still can't have Micheal Hutchinson in net or anything. If Carey Price isn't at the top of his game, it COULD be the difference between silver and gold, but you have a point, Canada's defense is so stacked they can probably carey (pun intended) any goalie to a certain degree.
