As mentioned by another member, we don't need lhd and nils is a pretty solid prospect so he's the #2 piece in this deal.

Reinhart needs to be signed, so BUF isn't going to retain. But yeah cap definitely doesn't work unless they're taking salary back via Rask or Dumba.

I don't see it working with Boldy either. Reinhart being a 50-60 point winger, Boldy could be as good or better than him by the end of his bridge contract, where he'll be making a fraction of what we'd have to pay Reinhart this summer.

If Buffalo wanted to be reasonable, we could talk about Beckman, Firstov, Khusnutdinov or something being the prospect, but I can't see how a competent GM trades Boldy/Rossi for a player like Reinhart.

I don't think there's a snowballs chance that BG would move Rossi or Boldy for Reinhart. I think he'd consider it for Eichel, but my impression from Russo's recent stuff is that it's going to have to be a pretty favorable deal for the Wild to make any type of major splash.

I know your getting roasted for the Detroit trade and it is an overpayment but Power looked great at the World Championships and looks like the number 1 pick as of now. I don't think Detroit makes the trade because of the value of Bertuzzi but would 6 OV and WSH 1st make sense for Sabres fans?

probbaly not, I was thinking of a top 6 youngish player that can make an impact right away. I see that as a need if getting rid of the #1 pick.
