We're fine on fourth line/taxi squad caliber players. We have plenty available for the playoffs.

I'm not a Vancouver fan nor wild fan but you're simply underrating the guy</div></div>
Would love for you to show me the last time a prospect like Boldy was moved, and for what, since the other guy couldn't.

A prime aged point per game tough winger/c signed for two more year is going to be extraordinarily expensive.</div></div>
As a fan of neither team, the smart option would have been to not try to volunteer your opinion on players/prospects you clearly don't know much about.

+/- shouldn't carry a lot of weight when only 4 guys total on VAN are a +.</div></div>
His numbers in Vancouver also shouldn't be compared to Minnesota as if they'd be the same had he been on this roster, yet you did it anyway.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jnowariak</b></div><div>Here’s the thing though, the genius GM in VAN needs to clear MORE cap after that brilliant signing today. With Podkolzin coming up, Miller is a candidate to be moved and might be the best/only way to clear that cap they need. I don’t think you’re looking at Schmidt/Stasny dumps but you are looking more like the Toews to COL deal of 2 2nds. VAN probably wants to keep Miller but the cap may force them to deal him and that doesn’t get you a good return.</div></div>
Even in a perfect situation for Vancouver, Boldy and Rossi type prospects don't get moved for Miller type players.

I didn't make the offer, and I don't believe Miller is a fit, but please do show me the last time a top 10 blue chip prospect was traded, and let me know what he was traded for. I promise you, if for some reason Miller went to Minnesota, Boldy and Rossi would not be part of the return. As much as you want them, and don't want to move Miller, neither of them would be part of a Miller deal.

Boldy is arguably a top 10 prospect league wide, and he's less than 24 hours from making his pro debut. Let's not act like Miller has that kind of value.

Defensemen gone at pick 7
The draft isn't going to be out of defensemen by pick 7, but even if, somehow, there are no defensemen worth picking there, why would Ottawa trade their blue chip, 5th overall defenseman that they desperately need, for a pick that doesn't have any other defensemen worth taking?
They'll just keep Sanderson and take whoever they have as the BPA at their spot.

On the other hand, Derek Ryan+CGY 1st for Bjugstad+Bonino (50% retained on Bonino) is something I would be interested in.

Philadelphia Flyers
I don't see any reason for Minnesota to consider this. Replace Voracek with Frost, replace Morin with a 1st, and then I think there's something there. Otherwise this does nothing to help us with our overabundance of wingers and defensemen, our lack of centers, or any potential cap space issues.

Ok, just checking.
Seriously, I really think its defensive prospects.
I could be wrong (am often wrong), but everything says it will be blueliner.
Maybe Ryan O'Rourke? Haven't paid any attention to him since draft. Any good?</div></div>
Ryan O'Rourke, to me, is ranked above Addison. I have him pegged as sort of a Parayko style guy, and a guy who's going to wear a letter for this organization some day. He's really been coming into his own lately as an 18 year old defenseman in the AHL. He's also really the only LD prospect of note in our system, and with Suter beginning his descent, we're probably going to want him around in 2-3 years.
O'Rourke and Addison are the heirs apparent to the defense, and the list of guys I would include them in a trade for is very short, even if neither of them are thought of in the Byram, Sanderson, Drysdale tier of guys.

Minnesota definitely declines, very quickly and emphatically.
Also, if they have offers for 2nd+3rd/4th or 2nd+prospect, the prospects in question are not going to be prospects with more value than the 2nd. They're going to be prospects similar to a 3rd/4th.
