It really doesn’t, and I don’t really care because Liberals always win here. The candidate last time didn’t even do anything because he was in the ICU and he still won by a landslide, and it’s pretty much the same at the moment.

Same in my circonscription. A pig could represent the Liberals and it would win.

It really doesn't feel like Elections day

Even though I just worked 15.5 hours at the election, I actually agree. Something feels different.

Side note the outcome is looking almost exactly the same. We need to change the system we have. If you get the popular vote, you should win.

Wel boys here it is. 600+ million dollars for what? To stay the exact same? Well this was a fun day

Tbh the only reason why I bothered voting when the 4-time incumbent in my riding just won another landslide (over 50% when it was called, will likely break 70% when all votes are counted) was so I could get the right to complain about the election smile

I find it both funny and extremely infuriating that the liberals and conservatives are currently projected to win the exact (yes, exact, to a single seat) same amount of seats as last election.

What a colossal waste of time and money this has been Mr. Trudeau. I hope you are happy.

Honestly am quite baffled. Wonder what Trudeau is thinking to himself. He essentially wasted a months time and hundreds of millions of dollars to literally stay the exact same with pretty much zero change. I’m surprised that people still find him competent. Not sure if this goes against any forum rules but that’s just my opinion on this situation

I don't understand how people have this opinion, it's just another statement that falls apart when you look at it too closely. When he called the election he was up like 12 points in the polls. Most minority governments last like a year and a half. If the conservatives had a minority government and saw they were up 12 points just under 2 years in, they would've called an election as well. So would anyone sane, if you've already surpassed the average length of a minority government and the polls suggest you could form a majority, that's a completely logical time to call an election. If you think that it's stupid that he has the ability to call an election whenever he wants, then petition your MP to change that law, and make all elected governments HAVE to serve 4 years, but until then it's within the law for him to call it when he feels like, any minority government would do this (and historically has done this), and there's no reason to blast Trudeau specifically for this. There's plenty of reasonable things to blast him for, like not changing the voting system (although every leader ever who has promised to change this hasn't done so, so it's not exactly surprising), but this is not one of them.

Them and Blake Comeau share a similarity, you both get absolutely roasted by Canadians.

Trudeau thought he had the numbers to get a majority.

Honestly? If he waited a few months, he might've. He called the election during the Afghanistan pullout and it reflected really poorly on him and the government. Took the whole month just to get back to the status quo.

To be fair they have over triple their popular vote from the last election.

Go PPC wink

As it turns out, Trudeau gained 1 seat. He's probably going to be the but end of many jokes now.

Kind of a win win for both sides. Arizona gets a player who did well for them and Chucky can get more playtime.

Plus no more awful contract with him so if he signs for a mill and produces like he did before could be a trade asset at the deadline.

Apparently Rinaldo is not vaccinated and that's why CBJ doesn't want him at their camp
