Am I the only one who thinks the Avalanche got worse?

Their contract efficiency is still ranked first in the league. They still have their elite and underpaid core in MacKinnon, Rantanen, Makar, Landeskog, Toews and Girard, but whether it's because of bad luck or not, the team has never made it past the 2nd round with better complementary players. This offseason, they lost Saad and Donskoi upfront with no direct replacement aside from banking on Newhook to assume top-six duties. Their 4th line is actually good though, with Maltsev, Helm, and O'Connor all being pretty good at defense. They also lost Graves, replacing him with a worse and more erratic Ryan Murray, although the gap could be filled by Byram at some point. They lost a cheap, solid, NHL-ready RHD in Timmins, along with a 1st round pick, for an equivalent goaltender at best.


I just looked it up and it checks out.

Their current roster is estimated at -4.3 wins worse than last year's, ranked #29 with only the Hurricanes and the Coyotes behind.

They are nice but no jersey beats the Anaheim Mighty Ducks Jersey

For one its the only jersey to get its own TV show lul

Also in the news

Charlie Coyle who most people had replacing Krejci as the Bruins 2c has been dealing with complications from his knee surgery. While he is still expected to play there is growing concern for how well he will do. As this injury hurt his play last season so probs gonna be just as bad if not worse in a bigger role.

Both Lindell and Comeau have it before him which is absolutely absurd, certainly when one of them is an ECHL player.

That's a disrespect to ECHL players, Comeau is at least a Junior player
