I hadn’t ever even checked out Adam Boqvist’s career thus far.
Seeing the buyout I thought I’d go look and see if the reason was obvious.
The most games played in a single season is in the 50s, multiple seasons in the 30s. In 5 years he’s very close to a 50/50 coin flip as to whether he was in lineup any given night. Does look like last season he started out as a healthy scratch a little, and did play a few games in the AHL at the start, but way too much time missed.
Hopefully he gets a chance and can get a string of good luck with health. I don’t think anybody can maintain an nhl career if they’re missing as many games as he is over time. Over the same timeframe, Robby Fabbri played in more games.
