Before that it was Miller, a cert to be traded, and a myriad of trade options and speculation. Didn't happen. Now its Hronek. Wont happen. But feel free to waste your time on idle speculation.

Hronek is a UFA in in summer of 2025, If he wants UFA on his next contract, a lot of those teams you mentioned can't afford him either. And certainly not giving up good young cheap assets just to obtain him. Canucks just might keep more their best deal at next TDL, to a true contender who wants a expiring contract Dman. Of course if the Canucks are in Cup contention, they don't weaken their team by a trade.

Ottawa has a lot of problems but Batherson's production and especially at his cost with term left on the deal... that's one of the only really good things. Vancouver would have to add and I dont think they'd be interested in that. I would honestly say he'd be one of the most expensive pieces to pry out of Ottawa because of how inexpensive his deal is.

That said, I've always liked Hronek and think he'd be a great get but just needs to be at the right price.

Pageau and Danault make 5m and are Veteran versions of what KK can be 4.8m isn't unreasonable.
