Jarnkrok gone
Willing to go out on a limb and say Jarnkrok is not going anywhere. Would make no sense imo - potted 20 goals last year, defensively responsible, plays PK (& PP2) and can move up lineup if / when needed. Perfect complimentary player for our stars
I checked twitter (X) and now I see your point, my bad. Will be disappointed if he’s been traded but 🤷🏻

Looks good to me 👍. Think switching Jarnkrok & Robertson out might make more sense but otherwise spot on.

All Offense Willy Styles Line
Absolutely no need to move Jarnkrok. He’s a good player that just scored 20 goals (19 at 5v5), can play up & down lineup, plays PK, and has a reasonable cap hit .
Just preposterous that Leafs would add (3 picks too 😅) in this proposal

Willy Nye the Center Guy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IconicHawk</b></div><div>Has Nylander ever played center before?</div></div>
Nylander took some shifts with Leafs at centre here & there & he often takes face offs on right side. He also played centre with the Marlies; he certainly has the tools to play C imo

If you think there are currently Marlies that can score 20 goals and play PK…share what you’re smoking 😅

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Maximus_Domi</b></div><div>Looking good. Nervous about Willy at C though. 😳. I personally would rather see Robertson in the lineup over Jarnkrok. Maybe they can move Jarnkrok for a draft pick for some cap relief.</div></div>
Jarnkrok not going anywhere 😕; the disrespect he gets is hard to figure. If Robertson can (finally) step up and fulfill his promise, he can play 3W and move Lafferty to 4W in which case I really like the forward lineup

Leafs Top Line
I think you could basically play anyone with Marner & Matthews and they’d be a dominant line. But to try to balance lines, makes no sense imo to play JT with them. If Willy is really going to play centre than JT can play 2/3C or 2W (with Willy) which spreads out the scoring

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Yes - if they get a regular IR injury, they will need to play short. Once they get a LTIR injury, they can call up a bunch of reinforcements. Leafs did that last year.
Vegas is a good example of a high end team having to play with a short roster early in a season. I believe it was 2 years ago</div></div>
I thought if they lose someone to injury - and it’s not long term (LTIR) - then they have to play that and the next game short but can call up emergency replacement after that, as long as cap hit of emergency replacement player is less than injured player. So if correct, only risk playing short for 1+ games.

Minten won’t be on the nhl team for a few years; and leafs have plenty of in house options (arguably better than these players) if there is any cap clearing move which is in itself very unlikely. Just a random, poorly thought out trade proposal

Come on bud, get serious 😂. You really think Leafs fans care about the SENs - you’re arguably the most irrelevant team in division; average team with ok players, terrible arena, weak prospect pool but most of all deluded fan base. I love reading - every spring - about how great the team will be… only for reality to kick in by Xmas. Keep it coming

😅. Guy gets called out on his questionable trade proposal and resorts to insults 😂. And best part is you are a SENs fan - arguably top 5 joke franchises in the league: team went bankrupt, you play in a barn, you’ve missed playoffs 6 (soon to be 7) years in a row and leaf fans out number you at your own home games. Keep up the good work 👏

Playoffs
Come on, just no way leafs entertain this 🤯 🤦🏻. Young, cost controlled RHD (top 4 potential) are worth way more than overpaid middle 6 wingers and a mid 2nd does not come close to bridging that gap. Especially for Leafs, our D is weakest area of team and we don’t need more wingers - we have good options already & I could play with Matthews or Marner and put up 20. Just makes zero sense for Leafs 😕

14 of his 22 goals and 29 of his 62 points came on PP. he doesn’t get a sniff on leafs PP (like pretty much everything, Leafs PP much between than SEN’s) so doubtful ‘my boy’ Dubas overpays Batherson 😂. Dubie did pay for elite production (could argue he even overpaid), but he rarely overpaid for meh players (Kerfoot being one exception)

What good players are getting waived? Lots of borderline players are getting waived by lots of teams - not like the Leafs are alone in that. I just don’t get the logic - by rival and even some Leafs fans - Tre should make the team worse just to be able to run a 22 man roster?
