Well cap is technically 87.7 next year, so I am not over the cap. What is wrong with a hypothetical 20 man roster?? you could obviously sign people for a little less but I do think Pesce is probably getting close to that on the open market

You didnt send Robertson to us, but i wouldnt give a 3rd for him either. Hes injury prone and small, not something the Jackets need, i doubt he would even get in the lineup when we were healthy. Now for Kampf, who you did send to us, is not good and overpaid. We have no use for him and he wouldnt even crack our lineup. The Jackets are not in a position to trade picks for players we dont need and will likely not play.

Columbus doesn’t need to bring in an outside forward at all, let alone an overpaid Leafs scrap. There are plenty of worthy forwards already in the system, plus Johnson, Laine, and Kuraly will all be healthy again. Columbus’s issue isn’t remotely the forwards, it’s defense and coaching.

Robertson isn't all that attractive to the Preds, what with his constant injuries; if you're going to send over secondary scoring, it has to be able to stay available to be of any use.

And Kampf is a non-starter for the Jackets unless you pay significant bribery for the lost cap space. There's lots of far more important prospects and RFAs to sign.
