Good for Okposo, deserves a shot at the Cup. I like this pickup for the Cats. Pennies on the dollar for a solid depth veteran whose presence Im sure will be appreciated in the locker room.

That's roughly what I'd pay for Okposo without retention.

Good fit for Florida. Steal of a deal actually. Would of been cool to see him go back to NYI or to Toronto and play with JT again.

It amazes me how glib and illogical people are. Those saying this is a bad trade. For those who haven’t done the math KO is a 35 year old player with diminishing abilities and a UFA next year. The Sabres are NOT going to make the playoffs.

So here’s the logic. Ahhh, let’s hold onto him, GET NOTHING and try and resign him next year (even if they wanted to) or

Let’s get at least something for a him and give KO a chance to win a Cup. If Buffalo really wants him back they can just sign him back, plus now they have assets. This is a win for Buffalo, Florida and KO.

Kevyn Adams traded roster players. He did not address needs to improve the roster and win now. The Sabres may seek a new general manager this offseason.

I think it tells you a lot about both teams that the Buffalo Sabres captain is now going to be a Florida Panthers healthy scratch. Still good pickup by Florida.
