Trade Deadline March 24

Créé par: Robinho3799
Équipe: 2023-24 Kings de Los Angeles
Date de création initiale: 20 févr. 2024
Publié: 20 févr. 2024
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Transactions
1.
LAK
  1. Saros, Juuse
  2. Choix de 4e ronde en 2024 (NSH)
Détails additionnels:
Kings get the goalie they need for the next years and deep playoff runs and finally solve their goalie issues. Saros and Rittich could make a great tandem, as Rittich is showing solid performances
NSH
  1. Fagemo, Samuel
  2. Kaliyev, Arthur
  3. Talbot, Cam
  4. Choix de 1e ronde en 2025 (LAK)
  5. Choix de 3e ronde en 2025 (LAK)
Détails additionnels:
Preds get a solid Goalie in Talbot for the remainder of the season and next. Kaliyev can be a profitable fit for the Preds and easily become a 20 goal scorer at the third line and 2nd PP unit. Fagemo is really an elite prospect, putting up constant numbers for the Ontario Reign (29 GP - 23 G, 13A for 36 P). A 1st and 3rd rounder should round up this trade package well.
2.
LAK
  1. Evans, Jake
  2. Choix de 3e ronde en 2024 (MTL)
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2025 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
Evans would be a perfect fir for the KIngs 4th line, the way he plays the game could certainly improve the Kings 4th line, considering Lizotte might be out longer. Kings shall receive a 1st rounder for Roy
MTL
  1. Grundström, Carl
  2. Roy, Matt
Détails additionnels:
Matt Roy is a very reliabale, very solid player, who will help out the Habs defensively, as the Habs already have 185 GA this season. Roy could be looking for a long term extension in the range between 5.5 - 6.5 Mil AAV (similar contract like Gavrikov). The Kings will likely not have the Cap Space to keep him and young RD like Clarke and Spence shall be full timers now. The Habs have promising offensive players, where a player like Grundström can boost the 3rd /4th line scoring. He can score around 15 goals, as well as being a good forechecker in the 4th line.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly.

I think that Matt Roy is in the Kings' long-term plans, and they will give him the contract you predict for him. To keep him, they will bite the bullet and stay with the goaltenders they have now because next season's rise in the cap ceiling, Kopi's pay cut and losing Arvidsson will create enough cap space to do everything they want even with Byfield's pay raise.

Even if they do trade Matt Roy now, the roster shown doesn't work well. A 20-man roster with no cap space is awkward and Anderson-Dolan is not waivers-exempt, so he can't be parked on an imaginary "Tax Squad" unless Montreal retains 50% on Evans or Nashville retains a little on Saros.

The Kings have been getting entirely adequate goaltending from Talbot and Rittich, and Saros isn't having his usual exceptional year. As a result, I think that Los Angeles as they are now are clearly better than this version of the Kings. Sorry, but that's my take.

Nashville had ****emo and waived him I doubt they’ll want him in a trade for saros. I would like him back because I thought it was a mistake they didn’t give him more games. But I guess they thought Cole smith was better 🙄

Honestly i dont want either prospect. Neither are waiver exempt and then next season neither is tomasino. With Brunette's roster decisions this would just lead to losing players on waivers. Not to mention the first is 2025

Roy doesn't fit the Habs timeline to compete. He's already 28. Makes no sense for the Habs to move a 1st for him. So even if he might be worth a 1st, it won't be from MTL.

the habs deal doesnt make any sense from MTL's side, they counter with Evans for a 3rd or 4th.

Any Juuse Saros trade to LA starts with Kempe, And no way is Rob Blake dealing Kempe for Saros. So that trade is already DOA.

And Matt Roy isn't signing long term with Montreal or any Canadian team for that matter. Roy has a greater chance of coming home to Detroit than ever playing in Montreal.
