Stamkos likely doesn't waive for Winnipeg even if they're looking like a potential contender but even if he did the Jets aren't doing that, two 1sts and Lambert is way too much for a rental.

If the cost for Stamkos is 3 1st round picks going to be a quiet trade deadline. At best his Value should be on par with Horvat (maybe slightly better their are arguments either way) where the cost was protected 1st + a A-/B+ prospect and a semi young guy to balance salary.

Stamkos is what 5 years older than Horvat? I bet Stamkos doesn't get half as much as people think. If he is moved which is unlikely, he will pick his destination and the return won't be as good as anyone expects.

Horvat came with an extension...Stammer will get a first and a prospect and that is it as he wont be resigning with one team that trades for him, I can see him waiting until July 1 to figure things out

Horvat wasn't allowed to talk to the Islanders until after the trade. Lou just didn't mess around on signing him. But yeah Stamkos probably wouldn't get the same as Horvat but it isn't to far from what I said just had salary going back (and retention on Horvat). Beauvillier wasn't a bad player but just cost too much for Vancouver to keep.
