Could you imagine Leafs sweep Bruins with this lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ducky10</b></div><div>Oof, that bottom six is... lacking.
Goaltending will be the Leaf's demise</div></div>
There is a 40 goal scoring 97 point player in the bottom 6. How many teams can say that?

Reaves I bet plays game 1 and if he doesn't cost the team he will play game 2 and 3. Then it's anyone's guess. As much as I didn't like his signing, recently he's been very good and him with Kampf and Dewar has been a solid 4th line.

The Avs have a poor away record and don't have home ice advantage v Winnipeg.</div></div>
Considering you are an oilers fan, chirping anyone's depth is pretty bold.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>draft_em_sign_em_trade_em</b></div><div>I'm going have to end the conversation here, it's obvious your blind hatred of Sammy has turned you to the dark side.
You do know other than his slow start and bad end to the season he was among the league leaders of all NHL goalies between mid Jan - early April.
Have a good night, Darth RipNasty. Look out for people with higher ground than you.
And force lightning.</div></div>
Who cares about small stretches. He's a guy who has all the tools to be great but just doesn't have the mental fortitude to do it consistently and this has been Sammy his whole career. In Washington he was great sometimes and then would allow some bad goals and go into long slumps. He still allows bad goals and goes into slumps. This season was another example and he hasn't looked great recently.

Playoff Time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CameronSquires</b></div><div>I took these into consideration and edited the lines</div></div>
I am not sure who the two LD behind Rielly should be, it's not an easy choice. Edmunson has his moments but every foot away from his own net, he loses effectiveness to a major degree. Benoit as well, he does a lot of things well and I think he should play but sometimes his complete lack of puck skills can lead to way too much in zone play or just a loss of possession. There was that play the other night where Willy was gone and Benoit just chipped it up the glass. But Brodie has been pretty terrible more often than not and Keefe just can't not play him too much. Give him less responsibility and he likely is the best option for 3rd, but Keefe would play him way too much. Just can't help himself.
Gio as well, you can make an argument that he's a good 3rd pair option.
No one really blows the doors off after Rielly. Hopefully collectively they make it work though.

And we know the Leafs don't have the trade bait to get a better goalie.</div></div>
Who's better than Sammy? Anyone who doesn't cost 4+ million. Who on earth is going to give that much and term to a guy who's currently 3 months removed from looking like his career was over. Hell Murray at league minimum is a better idea.

Leafs 2023 2024 Season Discussion Part 6 - Nearly Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Simple solution touch the puck and prevent that entire play but no he wanted the faceoff at center ice and not in their own zone
Again lazy play he should know better. As that entire sequence does not make him look good especially with the outcome
He high sticks, casually skates by gives TBL all the space for a stretch pass as everyone thought he was gonna play it and bam its in our net.
Imagine he did this game 7 of the playoffs or heck playoffs in general. Not good</div></div>
His lack of urgency to get to the bench looked bad but to blame him for the rest is just nonsense. But it's par for the course with you. You see what you want and nothing else.

Play the puck and prevent that entire sequence. Who cares if it goes back to your own zone as it prevents that goal from happening as him just doing a slow casual skate to the bench gives TBL all the time in the world. Guess he really wanted the faceoff at center ice lul
Imagine he did that in the playoffs. Its unacceptable especially for a guy whose gonna be making 11.5m next year and who should know better. Whether its game 1 to 82 that kind of stuff is not good
https://twitter.com/HockeySportPod/status/1780761273422189003</div></div>
The Tampa player coming off the bench splitting the d is entirely the rest of the team's problem. Not the guy who's last coming off and nowhere near the play. Lazy and a total lack of understanding

Cant make excuses for one when the other has had similar situations. Both at times have been left out to dry by the team at various points.
And Woll's also let in 4 or more in his last 9 two of those being against their first round opponent in BOS
While I will say 4.5m is to much him coming back at 2.5-3m is not a concern
Again this crusade against Sammy and over praise of Woll is silly.</div></div>
Sammy's first half of this season and playoff performance and entire career with Washington is enough to judge him. He's not a number 1

Its lazy and not what we want to see this time of year.
He's gonna be the second highest paid leaf on the team next season cant be doing this kind of stuff. Again play the puck and avoid that outcome has that leisure skate to the bench sure gave TBL all the room it needed

Anything that fits your opinion is all you consider and ignore everything else. Blaming Willy for that goal is just lazy low hanging fruit many people looking for clicks will focus on. A bad change lead to a goal. Not Willy's change, the rest of the team's change.

Imagine this happened in the playoffs you cant do that
Stop the play don’t skate as slow as possible to the bench and allow a wide open pass.</div></div>
He didn't allow the pass, he was going off on a change, anyone else in that position would likely have done the same. No need for a defensive zone faceoff. He doesn't have eyes on the back of his head. You really can't see beyond your opinion eh? Just justify whatever and bend everything to fit your rhetoric.
Had Willy skated harder to the bench, the same result would have happened. Had he touched the puck it was a defensive zone faceoff. You can't use hindsight to justify your emotions when the play happened how it happened for good reasons.
He didn't blow a back check, he went off on a change as the last man off, the defence and other forwards didn't get into position properly and a breakaway happened. Those players messed up, or the coaches did on how they called the line change. Willy was irrelevant at that point. Him not touching the puck is likely what the coaches tell him what to do in that situation.
