My belief is when they signed Goodrow the idea was for playoff experience. And a bit of leadership. So saying that, based off of last year and this years playoff run, he’ll have served his purpose for the Rangers, and he’ll move on to another team. It’s simple, if they can’t find a taker via trade, they’ll buy him out. This is not a topic to fight over lol Ottawa, would be a good place for him, or Detroit. A team on the cusp of the playoffs in need of a playoff tested guy

NYR aren’t trading Chytil. What they’ll do is sign the 3 RFAs and most likely have to sacrifice Goodrow. A buyout they gain 200k, if a trade doesn’t work out. Hes effectively another 4 million bucks off the books

Trading Goodrow isn’t impossible, he’d probably find someone. It would take a sweetened pot. Maybe retaining a bit. Or they’ll buy him out, which really doesn’t kill them until Panarin is off the books. 100% Goodrow is gone, 50-50 on how it happens.

The return is 100% gonna be frowned upon by Hawks fan. Multiple reports have said this. You’re not getting a first or a big prospect. The best you could hope for is a conditional first in ‘24. A SCF appearance type thing. You have negative chance of it being a guaranteed ‘23 first. Beside that, the Kane deal has already been agreed on (last week) and will have nothing to do with the Jeannot return

Rangers get: Kane (25%) / McCabe (50%) / Lafferty (100%)

Sharks get: 25% of Kane / Goodrow (100%) / Zac Jones / NYR ‘23 3rd (via the Avs)

Hawks get: Cuylle / Kravtsov, Leschyshyn, Mikkola (all for cap dumps) / ‘24 first / ‘23 second / ‘25 third

*More or less getting Cuylle for mcabe, and Lafferty for the second

I think it’s crazy obviously but something that could happen. Goodrow waiving would probably be the biggest hill to climb. But he does 15 teams list
