Not a huge fan of trading Rathbone for Friedman. IMO getting a 4th back might’ve been better.

Pittsburgh takes a low-risk bet on a guy who needed a fresh start and Vancouver gets an upgrade over Juulsen for the 3RD spot. Fair deal

Friedman will be missed just with his chirpy and aggressive play.

I like this deal for Pittsburgh. Shakes it up and Rathbone who was expected to be a stud in 2021, could still grow his game and be the guy he was expected to be.

Pittsburgh wins as only Rathbone has a shot at ever being an NHL regular. While Juulsen hasnt looked great after just 2 games this season- Freidman isnt a significant upgrade at all.

That would be me, I will take my shaming, to be fair he has gone down hill from being a 22YO being more than a PPG in the A

Terminated contract, not even buy out, I think that makes the Canucks winners in a trade nobody cares about

Rathbone is the only player with a chance to be a regular NHLer so Pittsburgh wins the trade. Friedman is roster fill for the Canucks and depending on injuries might see some games but his career is definitely in the rear mirror. Glover barely an AHLer Plasek already back in Europe and likely never to be heard from again.
