I don't mind losing Roslovic, Peeke, or Blanks, but I straight-up hate the idea of moving out Marchy. This isn't a path the Blue Jackets should pursue, IMO.

I am ok with the Garland deal but a 3x4.95 that could get spicy for resigning kids so but ultimately I don't think its in our interest to long term health.

No to the Pinto deal because we didn't wait 4 years for Marchenko for him to be a trade piece. He should be a solid top 6 to our roster if he continues to play strong.

Nice. CBJ would be 2/3 the way to a chili line.
All that would be left to do would be to trade Montreal and get Riley Kidney.........then put Pinto, Kidney and Bean on the same line.

1) No need/spot for Ottawa :

- LD : Chabot, Sanderson, Brannstrom, Kleven
- RD : Chychrun, Zub, Bernard-Docker, Hamonic
- Prospects : Guenette and Donovan are getting closer and closer. Then, there's more in development of course.

2) Marchenko has good goal scoring talent but that's about it. Seems to struggle defensively and in playmaking. Very poor advanced stats. He would also be extremely redundant in Ottawa. Not only there's several guys who could score 40+ goals (Stutzle, Norris, Tkachuk) but there's also several guys who could score 25+ goals (Giroux, Tarasenko, Batherson, Pinto, Kubalik). Enough offensive wingers poor defensively (Tarasenko, Kubalik, Batherson)

Pinto has a Philip Danault type projection. You don't trade that for an unidimensional goal scorer, unless maybe you severely lack in that department
