PHI ain't trading Cates. One of the best defensive forwards in the league analytically on a bad PHI team and has took a huge step forward in offensive production. PHI is rebuilding and don't need a vet C. That's why they shipped out Hayes in the first place.

Pretty sure Buffalo says no. They just paid to get Greenway, and Jokiharju is still very young. They can’t really afford to add a huge salary in Faulk when they have to make such big payments to Dahlin and Power in the near future.

Trading Cates for Schenn just hurts the rebuild. Schenn's a swell player but losing one of the best defensive forwards who is only 24 at the start of a rebuild for culture change isn't useful.

None of these are even remotely realistic. And the BUFF trade is hideous for the Blues. Brutal.

I’ll always be a fan of Saad but Hawks aren’t giving up picks for vets right now, they are rebuilding & already got vets to take care of the leadership needs.
