My info on this since late last Sunday has been Penguins are keenly interested, but it might come down to if Tatar gets a guaranteed deal elsewhere opposed to a PTO for camp in Pittsburgh (with expectation he gets a contract).

Tatar should honestly go to Carolina, Tampa, Edmonton, Toronto, etc if he isnt worried about money and stuff

Those teams make sense rn

But honestly surprised NSH or something has not called like here's 2.5m x 1 year. Trotz left holes for a guy like this and if it does not work sell at TDL like Nino Nied

Could also be a big mistake to ask Cooley and Guenther to be ready to play top six minutes when your first line is already a liability. Bear rolls four lines, so he'll get a fair share of minutes and PP time even if he was on the "fourth" line.

Guenther didn't look ready last year. Needed to polish his game, and Cooley likely will, too. He'll get PP time and situational use giving him offensive starts with decent players. Not really worried about him. Plus, Zucker is likely gone after the deadline. He'll only need to beat out Kerfoot and Boyd for top nine ice time after the deadline. If he can't do that, there are bigger problems than his line mates when he started the season.


The #1 objective for the coyotes is to make sure guys like Cooley/Guenther develop properly. Top 6 minutes/role wont hurt them. What will is playing with players who don’t compliment their skillsets.

Top 6 role playing with top 6 talent is an easier role for a young player than a bottom 6 role playing with bottom 6 talent

I’ve met quite a few guys over the years. I never met Wayne but I did meet Walter, nicest guy you’d ever meet. I grew up near Brantford.

First NHLer I ever met was an old timer from Brantford named Jack Shewchuk. He was on the 1942 Bruins cup winning team! Last Brantford connection was Keith Jones, the now member of the Flyers front office. He’s 2 years older than me so I was acquainted you could say with him through school and playing hockey. I’m not claiming we were great friends or anything. I also played with and again Keith Primeau. There are may others but those are the most interesting.

At wing yea which is why I dont understand why people putting Domi on JT's LW as last season he did a solid job at center

These lists tend to resemble Fantasy rankings more than actual hockey rankings, imo. Hard to argue too much with the top 8, though. But, I would probably bump Marner and Krilll up a spot and drop Mikko to #6.

Based on the evidence provided to the IIHF by the involved parties, the IIHF has determined that Ivan Fedotov has a valid NHL Contract with the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Club for the 2023/2024 season. RNH too low? He shouldn't even be on this list, A) he's a center, B) he's most definitely not elite, pretty much everyone else on the list is

Ehh not sure I agree about RNH but the other 2 I can agree with. And of course the Nylander part.

He plays as a LW mostly aside from their PP. He’s their best defensive forward and he had 104 points. I know the point total is inflated by the PP being historically good but I can’t say that a guy like Kyle Connor is better than him.

RNH plays both centre and wing. Think you needed to give him a nod since he racked up 100 points with McD and Drai this season.

Feel like Kane is on the list just because of his reputation. There are about 15 guys I'd put on the list before him.
