and they still didn't make the playoffs...

It was too early for both. And they're stuck in the middle with a meh prospect pool and no picks.

I think BUF has already leapfrogged them, and CBJ is very close too doing so. On top of that within a few years MTL and DET are probably competitive.

The sens will have a very hard time competing now and in the future because they jumped the gun.

I don't understand the Konecny to Oilers rumors, I mean yeah there is definitely a spot for him at either RW1 or RW2 but the is not at all the main need for the Oilers and if they are going to trade there main trade pieces (Broberg, Bourgault, 1sts and 2nds) it should be for an upgrade over Ceci and a legit partner for Nurse. Insiders on both sides are reporting that the Oilers have looked into Konecny.

Thats what im saying. I think they need to go upgrade that blue line not go add another forward
