I did look, and we both missed a sneaky one. (I def wouldn’t have guessed him although in hindsight it’s like ahhhhh)
And one of them you named was tied with Marchand. (I’m uncertain if my stats are up to this current game so possibly 1 goal off) and could join the 50 goal club as soon as tomorrow night!
Odd that Trent Frederic is the scratch for Bergeron but I wonder if he’s just a bit banged up. Frederic has been great for the Bruins all year playing wherever needed.
Either this goal or the next one puts Marchand into the top 50 all time playoff goal scorers.
There are 4 current players who can also say that.
See if ya can guess who!
Sid Malkin..... Ovi? McDavid and Matthews are too young and haven't had enough success. Who else have been around for awhile and made it often enough. Kucherov is up there in points, maybe not goals. Kane? Maybe Pavelski cos of sharks and dallas?
I am not adopting them, because I only have one team, but I have decided that I will be officially fostering the Kraken as long as they last in this year's playoffs. They are a cute puppy.
Definitely. Watch Borgen's foot. As he falls he spins and kicks his foot out in a sweep, taking out MacKinnon's foot.
Nathan MacKinnon helped create Tye Kartye's goal.He got caught behind the play complaining about the lack of a penalty call here. pic.twitter.com/HBlwMOOk93
That said, you can NOT expect to get ANY call and have to play through to the whistle.
Missed call has no impact on the scoreboard there if MacKinnon gives Compher an extra 2-3 seconds to get off the bench and interrupt that play.
Borgen/Seattle got away with one, but it was MacKinnon's reaction that cost them the goal against.
Edit: It's even worse than that. MacKinnon had an opportunity to keep the puck in the zone and regain control, but he shrugs his hands instead of attempting to play the puck.
From the series specific thread, my prediction (am currently trending to 7/8 with stars wild being the loser, need wild to win 2 in a row for perfect 1st round if trends continue otherwise), although in my stars wild prediction I literally said it’s impossible to guess because both teams were so good.
“Hedging a prediction as this is a top heavy versus depth matchup. TLDR Seattle in 6.“
From the Leaves thread:
“ Leaves in 5, would be 4 but some dumb controversial call will need to happen so people can get social media clicks and views.”
I’m doing well this year if the bracket challenge ended today.
Each post has my reasoning, I stole the snip that feels good rn.
