You're going to think that I have it in for you personally, because this is the third time today (out of three tries) that I'm criticizing trade offers of yours, but you've really got to stop pissing on the Kings.
First off, as I said earlier, and as my esteemed friend
@tryger says above, we're not trading Quinton Byfield. Forget it.
Los Angeles has 16 forwards on the NHL roster (incl the IR list) right now, with promotable prospects like Alex Turcotte and Sam Fa-gem-o in Ontario who will be competing for spots in training camp, so we don't need forwards as a general principle. More to the point, Harkins turns 26 at the end of the season, is out of his ELC, and is currently in the AHL. Bottom line: he's a bust, and thus his trade value is zero. The bottom-half fifth is little more than a dart throw. So this trade is really just for one year of Connor Hellebuyck. Do you really think that he's worth a first, two seconds, and a highly valuable NHL-ready right-handed defenseman? (Never mind Cal Petersen, because he's just a distraction to most CapFriendly outsiders.) The last high-quality goalie traded was Freddie Andersen, who as I recall cost a first and a second. Now, I'll be at the head of the line to evaluate CH as one of the five best goalies in the league this season, and therefore worth more than Andersen was when HE was traded, but he's not worth substantially more than Freddie because Freddie had term (his extension was part of the exchange). As
@Yotes269 says, if we want CH, we can wait a year for him unless the price is right.
FYI, ask the Pens guys and they will tell you that Sam Poulin is virtually worthless.
One-year rental veterans like Wheeler (who'll be 37 before the start of the season) and Scheifele aren't worth as much as you think.

You’re wayyyyyy overvaluing guys with 1 year left on their deals. LA would re-sign korpi for a year and make a run at helley in UFA before making that deal, Minnesota just flat out laughs and hangs up, that makes no sense for Buffalo they’re not a cup contender next year they could just wait until scheif hits UFA if they want him, jersey doesn’t need nino, Tampa isn’t paying that for a guy who wants out, and Montreal laughs and waits another year to sign PLD in free agency, their window isn’t next year. None of this makes any sense
Wish I could "like" this twice.
