Fair enough, but one season isn’t an enormous difference. My main point was yikes should have used a different example besides Hughes. It would have made his point better.
No it was in the direct context of the discussion on twitter (large twitter poll).
In the conversation of just solely vs JHughes.
I have been critical in saying JHughes may be too overhyped. Like I for own am taming my own expectations of Meier. But I know theres going to be some pushback against this cetiment. I think Meier is better than JHughes, Meier who I think its obnoxiously undervalued amongst the league. So if I wanted to fit my argument to my own context I would say Meier is better than Hughes and I say he could compete with Rantanen (who he is not on par with just this second) - and I think Seider is sitting with 1 season. So neither kid has down either what Meier has done. Meier was where they were when he was younger and hes even better now.
Meier is more valuable than both and I bet you many of those same hyping Seider now would probably stick with him over Meier. I could provide my own thoughts on Meier (who if you WATCH THE GAMES, they speak for themselves) but I wont derail the point anymore lmfao.
I dont disagree that hes going to be a star.
I dont think you can just go with ALL OF this yet its too soon.
Outvaluing someone happens a lot including JHughes, it has been done everywhere in the NHL but atleast for Jack, he has been through the ups and downs.
JHughes has had little time "SURE" but as
@devil @tintin (and that nhlfan devils with numbers guy lol) would probably scream (which ive dealt with it first hand), it is kinda true JHughes has been through alot and to do/ look how he looks and performs cant be ignored. And Seider has
not been through enough yet in the NHL, just slow down, let the kid breathe. Seider does not need to be strangled. He is a gem.
