I see Guhle as a "Mo Seider" type of guy in the NHL. Him and Barron could be a tough shutdown pair in a year or two. If Barron wins the #2RD job and Wideman is 3RD then the Habs would be better off with Gihle at 3LD over Harris as he is too similar to Wideman in playing style (and defensive gaps).

Imo, Guhle would benefit from an AHL year, Barron should get a roster spot as our 3 RD

I think the Seider **** is getting so out of hand man - I mean most people voted to take Seider over JHughes (55 > 45 in some polls on Twitter) a legitimate chance at a superstar 1C. I mean guys.. TYLER MYERS WON A CALDER LETS ****ING RELAX.

Seider does look amazing though, is he an elite 1D yet, h*ll no but he's already looks like a very good 2nd pair guy who can handle top D minutes, hard to not get hyped for that

Oh I love him to - by far my vote over Raymond throughout the year. But we’re talking Seider is already getting Norris mentions or being rated higher than a, analytics darling, JHughes who’s also on the eyes looks like a star. I’ve been critical of Hughes as y’all saw me with the Petey, but it’s getting crazy with Seider, more so than Hughes.

Jack Hughes has only played 84 more games than Seider lol. Not sure why with Seider it’s still to early but Hughes we know will be a superstar…

3 seasons for Hughes though ( both Covid years ) and 1 for Seider, games may be 1 season of difference but Hughes has 2 more seasons under his belt

Ya, and he struggled in those seasons, so they don't help Hughes' case of being better than Seider.

Hughes only really struggled in his 1st year, he had a decent 2nd year and now an amazing 3rd year and his analytics have been good too, there's more than just 1 good year for Hughes

4 years at 1 mill per for Laf?

No lol 1 year 4 mil. Mostly because I don't think he has the type of year to warrant a big contract next year but I think he gets a little more money because of his status as a #1 over pick.

These contracts would be major steals for the GM signing them.

Hintz and Kyrou could probably get more
I think Bratt is about fair
Terry really depends on what he does next year if he has another year like he did last year he might get more if he slows down a bit I could see him cashing on a long-term deal closer to the AAV of Travis Konecny and Anthony Cirelli Range

You never asked me, but yes it's likely,

Matheson-Savard
Harris-Edmundson
Wideman-Barron

Schueneman. Guhle could slot in there, as well as any Waiver Pickup.

There's some offsided defenders there, so maybe the lines don't look like that, but Imagine it will be those 7.

He probably will not.
I have the Habs signing a Vet RHD. And Leskinen didn't come back to MTL to play in Laval.
He will be #7

Think it will come via waivers, but in the meantime I do have Schueneman making the team. Don't think Leskinen is good enough to be in the NHL, but I guess that's what training camp is for.

Fair enough, but one season isn’t an enormous difference. My main point was @yikes should have used a different example besides Hughes. It would have made his point better.

No it was in the direct context of the discussion on twitter (large twitter poll).
In the conversation of just solely vs JHughes.

I have been critical in saying JHughes may be too overhyped. Like I for own am taming my own expectations of Meier. But I know theres going to be some pushback against this cetiment. I think Meier is better than JHughes, Meier who I think its obnoxiously undervalued amongst the league. So if I wanted to fit my argument to my own context I would say Meier is better than Hughes and I say he could compete with Rantanen (who he is not on par with just this second) - and I think Seider is sitting with 1 season. So neither kid has down either what Meier has done. Meier was where they were when he was younger and hes even better now.

Meier is more valuable than both and I bet you many of those same hyping Seider now would probably stick with him over Meier. I could provide my own thoughts on Meier (who if you WATCH THE GAMES, they speak for themselves) but I wont derail the point anymore lmfao.

I dont disagree that hes going to be a star.

I dont think you can just go with ALL OF this yet its too soon.

Outvaluing someone happens a lot including JHughes, it has been done everywhere in the NHL but atleast for Jack, he has been through the ups and downs.

JHughes has had little time "SURE" but as @devil @tintin (and that nhlfan devils with numbers guy lol) would probably scream (which ive dealt with it first hand), it is kinda true JHughes has been through alot and to do/ look how he looks and performs cant be ignored. And Seider has not been through enough yet in the NHL, just slow down, let the kid breathe. Seider does not need to be strangled. He is a gem.

I mean, Philly does seem like a mess but I would think that’s 25% players, 25% Torts and 50% Fletcher
