IMO this season so their best chance to win, their best offensive players (Panarin, Kreider, Zibanejad) will regress and I don’t think they will have the forwards that can provide that kind of value in 2-3 years

Conference finals predictions

NYR 1 - 4 TB

- This is where Rangers will run out of fuel. They'll face a better team in pretty much all ways possible and now they aren't playing against team's 2nd or 3rd goalie either. I'm giving them one game, but other than that Tampa will take it by simple routine. Especially if Point is back.

COL 2 - 4 EDM

- This is going to be an interesting one because both of these teams are better with the puck than without, but given how hot Oilers top line is I'm giving advantage to them. If Avs make the same mistake CGY did and let EDM play at their strengths they're going to be facing all kinds of troubles. Also, an interesting notion which I never thought I'd have to utter out loud - right now I think Smith is playing better than Kuemper is. In the fight of goalies I think Smith will help Oilers more than Kuemper helps Avs respectively. I see two outcomes here - either Oilers will win this very tight series in 6, or Avs walks through it in four, leaving nothing at chance, and shut down the McDavid line.
