That is the amount of shots Jake Allen has faced in his last five games. Granted it's been against good teams (BOS, TOR, CAR and FLA twice). Montembeault played against NJ when they let past "only" 32 shots.

So basically Jake Allen has made 209 saves in last five games in total, with 20 goals against. He's done admirably well.

What is not doing admirably well is Habs defense. They're absolutely ghastly.

They seriously need to do something to that D core, because that is not sustainable by any means.


Also, head defensive coach Luke Richardson has been in Covid protocol the past few games.

Actually I can, because Nill's biggest problem is not bad trades but the fact he does absolutely nothing.

For a guy who's job is on the line if we don't make it to the playoffs the only things he did to strengthen this team was acquiring a bottom-6 depth player and a 3rd goalie as an injury safe. That tells me enough about his philosophy.

What do you think an average day at the office is like for Jim Nill? I like to imagine that he walks in, heads to his desk, immediately takes a nap, wakes up 1 hour before the end of the work day, has a quick meeting to get himself up to speed, and then leaves without doing anything.

He's gonna have to patch a leaking hole if Klingberg leaves in FA. He may go for the easy solution 1700 miles up north.

I think he walks in to his office, sits on his desk and start plucking his now very much thinner mustaches. By the time he's finished he either yells to Bowness after a game either "Good job, I love winners!" or "Better luck next time." depending on a result of the game. And then he'll probably take a taxi home.

He also probably takes a nap if there's no game day.

Sometimes he gets frustrated if we lose like 3-4 games in a row, which is when he does something truly drastic and touches the lineup (either puts Comeau or someone else on waivers or sees if the Devils have put someone on the waivers to pick, see Vatanen and Studenic). Usually he has a bit of a frowny face these days.

I seriously hope not, and even if he does I hope the cost is sensible.

Gurianov+Dellandrea for a guy with such a baggage would be the worst trade in Dallas' franchise history.

I don't trust anyone.

When I was a kid I was ill one time during April fools day. My brother wanted to be nice and brewed some coffee for me. I took a nice glug at it and then I realized it was some old coke he had put to the microwave and then added some milk to make it look lighter brown and then some salt.

Needless to say after that I've not been a fan of this day.
