og's gonna remember when Domi is showed still in Florida. But I love this move for the canes, I was never too high on Hreschuk anyways so I'm fine with moving on from him. Sidenote: the draft pick used from the Ned trade was him, so we basically traded Ned for Max Domi lol

Guess I'm an OG because it's still like that for me
This is such a colossal W for Carolina. Domi is a 40 point guy and they gave up a KHLer and a good defensive D man prospect to get him at a quarter of his cap hit.

Domi is already on a plane flying to Florida.
If the Panthers win the Cup, Domi's name gets included.

I'm surprised for how little domi was traded! there must now have been a lot of enthousiasm around the league for domi i guess. good for the cane.
Last year, he did a fantastic job waiting out the market for demand to go up.
This year, feels like whatever teams had interest in a guy like Domi ended up just going for someone else…
The Canes were the only team that truly wanted Domi over other options. Apparently only Carolina had their scouts in attendance at the recent Columbus game. Others probably had Domi as a backup plan, but Carolina was the only one that actually thoroughly scouted him in recent days.
