As a Canucks fan, I would love that for Miller but no way the Wild do that.

Rossi can't be had. I am sorry, but your gm can ask for 3-4 first round pick, but no gm us paying that. Even Zucker had more term. . Rossi is off limits.

Yes, he's not but terms still matter. That trades hasn't happened shows your gm whose well known for using media can ask, but gm's don't have to budge. No one said no to 1st and top prospect with c prospect , but he's not getting more.

No, don't use nick foligno's trade because Toronto bid against themselves

I think the minimum they would trade miller for would be a first, A level prospect, and top 6 starter

The trade hasn't happened because we're still way away from the deadline.

Coleman had the same term as Miller and went for a first + prospect. Goodrow was the same term and went for a first. Duchene had the same term as well.

I would expect a first, A prospect, and filler for Miller and imo the only A prospects the wild have are Rossi, Boldy, Addison.

I'm not saying he will 100% be traded, but if we can't get a similar return we're better off keeping him and exploring trading Boeser and/or Garland.

This is still the eichel trade? Like I said it can be asked, but no gm will pay eichel value for him

They aren't getting traded . Tampa is well known for overpay. Ottowa was laughed at by media for everything they gave away. You can't use those as comparisons. Minnesota will be out then

Eichel value was suppressed. I think Jakob Chychrun and JT Miller will have a somewhat similar return.

So I'm not allowed to use Foligno, Coleman, Goodrow, or Duchene as comparables... So Zucker is the only one I can use because he suits you? (even though he's not a good comparable).

Minnesota can be out then, that's fine.

If think it is possible for the canucks to retain 50% of his salary if the Wild really need it. If that is the case the Wild will have a point per game player for around 2.8million for the next 1 and half years.

I think “A” level can mean a lot of things. If Rossi were really gonna be part of it, you’d be looking at him and a 2nd most like.

I think the Wild would build around a 1st, a D prospect not named Addison, and maybe another small piece. You aren’t getting a top 6 replacement plus multiple good prospect pieces. Maybe you could get a Greenway but I don’t think you’re getting that type of roster player back.

Fiala isn't moving in season. The Wild will likely only offer Beckman or possibly Khusnutdinov instead of Rossi. Wild want to make a run this year and Boldy and Fiala are part of the team so subtraction doesn't make sense.

They won't get that for Miller at this point, if he had some more term on his deal maybe but with only one more year after this one I can't see any team giving up that much for him.

^Literally this^

In order for the type of return Canucks fans are asking for to happen, Miller would honestly have to have at least 2 additional more years of term left on his current contract and price point. At minimum. Otherwise it just isn't worth it for the team acquiring him.

Bottom line, Canuck fans are vastly overestimating his current value.
