So Minnesota is adding roughly six million? With our dead cap being already 15 million? Maybe try some other teams

The clause in the Lindholm trade is illegal nowadays, but Rossi and a 2nd is a very good deal. Wild accept if there is indeed a new deal in place for Lindholm.

Some team might want to take Barrie for free. That team is not the Wild. Have you heard about our buyout penalties? Barrie is an absolute no-go to us.

Yeah, I sometimes do the general managing of the Wild. Some may know me by the name of Bill Guerin, but for friends, it's just Billy.

Ceci for Hartmann
Wild decline. Hartman is cheap and effective. There is no reason to move him. Taking Ceci gives us roughly 1,5 million more in cap. We can't afford it, we don't want Ceci.

Fair Trades
Considering how short Minnesota is in cap space and good centers, trading a young, extremely talented center for an expensive winger is the worst possible move. Wild decline.

Goalie prospects are hard to place but I doubt if you included Wallstedt he'd be in the top 10 value wise</div></div>
If Levi, Askarov, and Wolf are better prospects, go after them instead. You might even get them for a cheaper price! I don't get why you would try to talk down on Wallstedt and then try to acquire him. You certainly place a lot of value on him. But Minnesota knows the talent they have and is not going to give it away for peanuts.

Goalies in general are a crapshoot but Wallstedt is the #1 goalie prospect in the world. You can't get a more sure thing than him. If Wallstedt doesn't have extreme value, there is no point for us to trade him. You don't trade a dollar for four quarters.
The point is, we are more than happy to keep him unless you blow us away with an offer. This doesn't do it.

That's a lot of stuff, yes, but nothing in the package screams a good deal. How would you react if Minnesota offered you Liam Öhgren, Jack Peart, a 1st, and a 3rd for Luke Hughes?

Wallstedt is more important to us than any of those pieces could ever be. Our goalie of the future. You'd have to really step up with a quality offer to get our attention.
You really want our top prospect? Give us yours.

Wild decline. Our depth at C is already a problem, trading Ek would be disastrous. Nylander is fine, but he is more expensive than Ek and on an expiring deal. This trade doesn't meet Minnesota's needs at all.

Nylander
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SNipeSHowInc</b></div><div>Leafs decline, Rossi doesn’t look to be the most promising anymore, I don’t think he adds a ton of value to this package (similar to how Robertson wouldn’t for the Leafs.). No need for Fleury, Foligno as a 3rd line winger brings physicality, but that’s available on the open market. Basically comes down to a First and second for a retained Nylander. Rather have Nylander</div></div>
I think people judge Rossi too much based on the 21 games he has played in the NHL, in a bottom-six role. He has produced at every level, from the juniors (over 2 PPG) to the AHL (a point-per-game) to the international stage (point-per-game in this year's WC, carrying a weak Austrian squad). And he has been sound defensively in the NHL, as well.
All he needs, in my opinion, is a strong summer and an opportunity to prove himself. The guy is just 21, he oozes skill and is determined. The offensive breakthrough will come. That's why I wouldn't trade him, especially when his stock has taken a hit.

Flyers off-season
A few problems with the Konecny deal:
1) Rossi, Faber, and a pick is way too much to ask. Under no circumstances does the Wild entertain the idea of that deal.
2) Konecny makes 5,5 million a year, way too much for Minnesota to handle with our cap situation. Trading two cheap assets in Rossi+Faber just highlights this problem.
3) Does Konecny really fit a crucial need for the Wild? Sure, he'd be helpful, but he is a winger. Our greatest needs are at center and at defense with Dumba leaving. Guess who fill those spots for cheap? That's right, Rossi and Faber.
In a nutshell, what you have here is the Wild trading from two positions of need, two cheap, young players for Konecny that doesn't really fill a crucial need and the Wild cannot afford.

Ah yes, a cap-strapped team extremely short on centers trades their 1C that's locked up for multiple seasons for a more expensive winger on an expiring contract. You know, the usual.

Leafs trade matthews
Yeah, even if Tavares would approve that trade, there is zero chance the Wild could afford Tavares. At the moment, we have 9 million to sign 6-7 players. Tavares has a cap hit of ELEVEN million dollars. I won't go into the trade itself, just wanted to make clear why this is a non-starter of an idea.

That's 10 spots, from #21 to #11. In my opinion, we should do this swap. This is a great deal for us, as we get to choose one elite prospect over three good-not-great ones (and VAN even gives us a few mid-round picks back, something they totally didn't have to do).

Yep, unless we get a good sign-and-trade this doesn't happen

The most Id be ready to give up for Kane
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonSelaars3</b></div><div>This is not the move. Does adding Kane really make this Wild team a cup contender? In my opinion, no. We’d just be sending an almost Guaranteed top 4 LHD and a 2nd round pick for 3 months of an aging star who will walk in free agency as soon as they get bounced from the 1st round. Never been a big fan of trading for rentals unless you’re legitimately one key player away from being a cup favorite. Minnesota’s Stanley Cup window opens 2-3 years from now, there is no reason to waste top prospects and picks on players that will be gone by this time next season.</div></div>
My exact thought, as well. But since many Wild fans want Kane, I started to wonder, what would be my absolute ceiling for a trade.
