First of all, you got Skinner and Hinostroza as first line wingers 🤣, so Hoffman and Drouin would be immediate help.... But they are both LH while Skinner and Olofsson are doing well this year and have the same number of goals and one more pt than Drouin and Hoffman.
Let's look at the value of your trade.
Hoffman was with round 7 pick in the 2018 draft to Florida Panthers for round 4 pick in the 2018 draft, round 5 pick in the 2018 draft and round 2 pick in the 2019 draft. He was traded by Ottawa to the Sharks for even less than 2nd, 4rh, 5th and 7th.
Drouin is a bit of a project right now, it is hard to value him now. Considering his previous two seasons, he could return a first or he could revert to his previous two years production.
Mailloux is not even considered MTL's top RW prospect, and his value is difficult to determine as nearly all pundits gave MTL an "F" for drafting him. Why should the Sabres now take him considering his private life and that he is not playing hockey this year?
2023 2nd round pick (MTL)
2023 1st round pick (MTL)
The herniated disk injury is painful but not career ending,
While you may see value in the trade a rebuilding Sabres probably would not.
I think they would easily pass as there are no certainties.
Drouin my regress to his previous two year production, Hoffman may only have the value of 2nd and 3 lesser picks, Mailloux may never play hockey again, Jack may be prevented from playing the suggested games for reasons other than his neck (what if the Habs kept him out of action because they wanted to do poorly for better drafting reasons or to keep the two picks).
