EDM has arguably the best forward core in the league - Ryan, Hyman, Foegle are solid adds. Benson could make the team as well. It’s unfortunate Holland couldn’t build an average D core

I wanted to point something out: I disagree with the generally held opinion that «ToM wIlSoN bRoKe ThE rAnGeRs»

It's untrue. What is true, however, is that Goodrow is slightly overpaid (he's worth 3M, not 3,6) and that we should've gotten more for Buchnevich, but with or without Wilson, we were getting pushed around and this needed fixing. Maybe we slightly overcorrected, but it was a major issue regardless of the Wilson incident.

The only reason people are saying that is because it happened right after the Wilson incident. If it happened before I doubt anyone would say anything if it happened before, but it didn’t and it gave people the excuse of saying that.

The best contract from every team, IMO, ELC excluded:

Anaheim: Hampus Lindholm. If they wanted to sell him, his pretty cheap contract could guarantee a great return
Arizona: Chychrun. Their best player and IMO the most underrated LD-man in the entire league
Boston: Pasta, one of the 3 best goal scorers in the league and he doesn't even have a 7M AAV. McAvoy is a close 2nd but Pasta's term gave him this title
Buffalo: not a lot of choices but Victor Olofsson, just because
Calgary: Rasmus Andersson. A strong top 4 d-man locked up long term at not even 5M per
Carolina: Jaccob Slavin. Dude's an elite shutdown d-man and he doesn't even have a 6M AAV
Chicago: Dominik Kubalik, a very good goal scorer at not even 4M
Colorado: only one good answer here: Nathan MacKinnon, one of the 3 best players in the league (hot take but I'd rather have him that McDavid) and he doesn't even have a 7M AAV
Columbus: not a lot of choices but I gotta go with Jack Roslovic. Established himself as a top sixer while being a cheap player
Dallas: here I gotta go with Hintz. The most underrated center in the league IMO and still has 2 more seasons at not even 4M per
Detroit: Ned. Sorry Dzinger18
Edmonton: none
Florida: got to be Ekblad, one of the most underrated players in the league, locked up long term and not even 8M per.
LA: not a lot of choices but I like the Iafallo one
Minnesota: Joel Eriksson Ek. One of the most underrated centers in the league, a swiss army knife and someone I compare to Sean Couturier.
Montreal: Tyler Toffoli. Goes without saying
Nashville: not a lot of choices but Ekholm. Strong shutdown number 2-3 d-man who isn't even paid 4M
NJD: MacKenzie Blackwood, a very good young goalie who isn't paid much
NYI: not a lot of choices but Barzal
NYR: Igor. A soon to be elite starter locked up.
Ottawa: could become Tkachuk but right now it's Chabot. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves and is locked up forever.
Philly: come one, it's gotta be Sean Couturier
Pittsburgh: for me it's Sid. Still a beast in his mid 30s and showing 0 signs of decline
SJ: uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... sorry dear yikes but I can't come up with anything here... Hertl maybe? Then again, it's not a massive bargain like Couturier and he doesn't have term left
STL: ROR. That's it. That's the argument.
