It's going to take more than that for Minnesota to take on 3x6 for a bottom six/fourth line player. The days of Asplund having any value are gone, and while the 2nd could be in the top 40, it's not nearly enough. Maybe adding JJ Peterka gets the conversation started?

No one is willing to take on Tyler Johnson's 4x5M contract, and many believe the price is a 1st+. If you think you can dump Okposo's 3x6M contract for a 2nd, good luck. No one is taking that on for cheap with internal budgets and a flat cap.

Exactly; Risto is nothing more then a cap dump in a trade for Kane to Chicago. We have loaded with on the right with Mitchell, Boqvist and Murphy, all of which Risto won't unseed, and of course we still have Seabs also. Further, pretty sure Chicago won't touch anything from buffalo unless Cozens or Quinn is coming back along with the 1st rounder.

The only team that could make Kane work in a trade it TB. They'll just kneecap McDonagh or something to make the cap work.
