Ah yes...a late 1st and late 2nd (combined with a buncha scrubs that the ducks have zero use for) is a massive overpay. Thank god the leafs included Engvall’s neck...they’d be lost without it.

I keep seeing Leafs fans trading Engvall and Kerfoot in virtually every post. I think that's a poor idea because they are the only forwards other than the Big Four currently on the roster who meet the requirements for exposure in the expansion draft, and Toronto has to present two such qualified forwards. I know, I know . . . Leafs fans will say We can just give two of our bottom-6 stiffs new one-year contracts. Maybe, maybe not.

All depends on how you view Kerfoot I guess. Personally I'd value him higher than Johnsson (who Leafs were offered 2nd for, but liked Anderson better), but as you so elegantly point out Leafs fans = idiots, so my opinion must not mean much.
