He never got a chance?? or never earned a chance or won a roster spot. There’s a difference.

Yes, he played well last year with Muzzin. We’ll see if he plays similar or improves. I doubt it. You want to bet your season on Holl being a capable top 4 defender. I wouldn’t. And again, Lethonen, Sandin and Liljregren have not proven to be NHL capable yet either.

Lol..Leafs fans can’t read either..lol..“C”, “C+” prospects being Abruzzese and Abramov.

Good luck with Holl as a top 4 D. He’ll be this years Ceci’s or Zaitsev for the Leafs. They will blame him for being 28th in goals allowed again. Just like last year was all Ceci’s fault..lol. Holl will regress and every leafs fan will try to be dump at the deadline on ACGM.

Lol. Why wouldn’t the Pens use a 23 man roster.?? Lol. Seeing as they have the cap space??

Pettersson/Marino was our 2nd pairing D last year. They will stick the same this year. Matheson/ Ceci, Ruhwedel platoon will be the 3rd pairing; playing 10-15 minutes a night.

McCann/Janko/E-Rod is our 3rd line right now as our roster is right now..have u read anything Penguins?? McCann is a scorer, a wing. 19 goals in 18-19, 14 goals last year(playing Center and out of position). JR and Sully said they found that out last year and will keep him as a wing this year and let him do what he does best and just snipe. And not have to worry about play-making for his line-mates and carrying a line.

Janko will get every shot and opportunity to be the 3C same with E-Rod as the 3RW.

Tanev/Blueger/ZAR stayed as the 4th line all last year while the team was riddled with injuries and it was never changed. He’s not gonna change it this year. It was the best defensive line in the NHL. All 3, Tanev, Blueger and ZAR has Selke votes.

ZAR has offseason surgery surgery and will start off on LTIR.

It will be Tanev/Blueger/Lafferty to start the season. We need Lafferty’s right-handed shot and right-handed stick to take face-offs. We have no other right-handed Face-Off takers. And Lafferty is good at FO’s too.

That's 10 NHL capable d-man. Savard would fight with Bogosian for ice time. &amp; at the cost of getting Bogosian for nothing or having to give up Dermott, plus a top prospect and a pick for less than 1 year of a guy that MIGHT play bottom pairing minutes? .. yeah if Dubas doesn't get Savard surely they'll never be a cup. They're way better off without him.

And how is Dermott gone in the expansion draft exactly? Smart move is to protect 8-1. Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Rielly, Brodie, Muzzin, Dermott, and Campbell.. worst case possible Toronto loses Holl (can be replaced by Liljegren + gain $2M in cap space) or Kerfoot (can be replaced by Robertson + gain $3.5M in cap space)

So please, tell me again how this idea benefits the Leafs. If Dubas listened to people like you he'd be outta a job faster than he can blink.

Neither Liljegreen or Sandin or Lehtonen have proved NHL capable yet. Good luck man!! Keep all your draft picks and “C”, “C+ prospects and keep getting knocked out in the 1st round of the play-offs!! Anyone will tell u, u can never have enough D. See Leafs being 28th in goals allowed last year!!

And if their GM continues doing what these fans think. It’s why the leafs will never win a SC again. The chances of Abramov or Abruzzese being as good as Savard are probably under 10%. And Even Dermott.

Dermott will be gone next year from the expansion draft most likely. With nothing in return. And Abramov and Abruzzese chances of ended up like Bracco are higher than them playing significant minutes and years for the Leafs.

If you can get Savard for 2.5M for this year for Abruzzese and Dermott. Yes, absolutely!!

Lol. Ok man. A top 10 D-man in the league still. A top 3 D-man on the PP point still.. 2 top 100 prospects and a 1st and 2nd round pick. For a RFA that is gonna want a fortune this off-season.

He brings back a NHL level player, a top 100 prospect and a 1st round pick. That’s his value bud. He won’t bring back more than that. Maybe a prospect package of a team’s 2 of their top 1-5 prospects, a NHL player(probably a bad contract back too) and a 1st round pick.


Everyone else says the value is there in the Rust ACGM and this one. You are the only comment that thinks it isn’t. U see the problem?? Lol.

I doubt it. He’s not a enough of a checker, two-way player to be a 3rd line wing. Even to start his career. He’ll play AHL until completely ready to be a top 6. Or bust out. Again, he has no NHL “floor”.

Not saying he won’t contribute as a top 6 on a NHL team. That’s just the type of player he is. A fast, fancy stick-handling, scoring wing. That’s all well and good too. It’s not a knock. He’s has NHL potential. But he can’t play as an NHL bottom 6. And like u said, that’s not why u draft him either. I just wrote that b/c u have him on your 3rd line here. Again, He’ll be a top 6 or bust. And play in the AHL/KHL until completely ready to be a top 6.
