Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

I didn't include players that will be on LTIR indefinitely. Term is weighted heavier so that's why only guys that give you nothing at high cap hit with less than 2 years left are included (i.e. Subban). I also try to stay away from including guys that have term at high number but have potential to rebound after a mediocre season (i.e. Johansen, Doughty, Karlsson)

Also, for all the Habs fans that are gonna flip about Weber being on here, guy is signed until 2026 at 7.8 mill and if he retires then Nashville potentially faces a 25 mill one year cap hit

NSH won't face a $25M cap hit, if Weber retires early. The NHL fixed that. It was basically unenforceable anyway.

Is it really fair to judge Anderson's contract before he's even played a game? You could put like a Tyler Johnson there.

most of them are terrible contracts. It's a little ridiculous to consider Quick, Weber, Myers, and Anderson as bad contracts but it is hard to argue 9mil for skinner is not good.

You mean the guy who had as many goals but is significantly worse defensively?
Id rather pay 200k more for a guy to play in the bottom 6 who isnt a giant liability in his own end.
Also what a weird comparison to make in a "worst contracts in the league" post

matheson maybe, but I want to see him play first. by all accounts he was bad in Florida but Florida has been a Gong show franchise most of the time and some analytics say he can be alot better and will fit better with PIT. who knows?

The partially fixed it, it will still be 25 Mil but they can spread it over a certain number of years. Is my understanding.

Yeah, I was just referring to the fact NSH can't get hit with $25M in one season anymore. Which never would have happened anyway. No NHL owner would let the league force them to dismantle a multi-million dollar business like that.
