Description
If you have to add a B or C prospect to Kaprizov trade do it. Also if it`s a deal breaker to have Murray over Jarry then I would probably do that too. Wild want a goalie and a center. Bjugstad is still young and has more value than people think. 6 foot 6 centers don`t grow on trees. Plus he is from Minny. Give him a shot in top 6. They have enough wings. Dubnyk had a bad year but could be a good backup for Murray/Jarry. Guerin is obviously familiar with Pens and would be inclined to make another deal with his old team.

Domi has fallen out of favour in MTL and I think a McCann-Domi swap is fair and realistic considering team/player needs/situation.

Poulin can play in the NHL next year IMO but if not then Rodriguez or Lafferty can fill that spot. POJ could also make the team in a sheltered role. If not then Ruhwedel can finally get a legitmate shot at consistent playing time and other depth D can be signed.

I would DEFINITELY take a shot on Barrie especially if you can get him on a decent deal like this.

I find Kaprizov one of the most overrated prospects on here so I applaud you for making a trade involving him, however, most people aren't going to like that trade. Also no way MTL makes that deal either.

Minny isn’t trading the only good forward they have (other than Fiala) that’s on the right side of 30. Why would Montreal trade Domi for someone that is just not as good as Domi

Guerin said they want a center and a goalie. Fiala, Kunin, Greenway,Parize, Foligno, Zuccarello, Hartman all on wing. They need a goalie and center more than they need another winger.

Domi and McCann are pretty similar point wise and Domi is playing on the 4th line in MTL.

Yeah, I like Kaprizov but he might be overhyped by some. People forget he isn`t really a "prospect" and is entering mid-20s. If the value is off then add in a prospect or pick. Hallander? Idc just do it.

I like Domi more than McCann but he is out of MTL this offseason. Playing on 4th line. McCann put up similarish numbers and I think think the swap could make sense for both teams. Should be similar contracts too. Worse trades have happened.

So are you gonna keep playing an unhappy Domi on the 4th line next year or?

McCann’s career high is 35 points. Domi has never had less than 38, and is a year removed from 72 lol

Kaprizov is the most talented of anyone you mentioned there. If Minny feels they have too many wingers, literally any of those are on the trade block first

I think both would seriously entertain these deals given real life scenarios for all teams/players involved. If value is slightly off then add in a prospect or pick or something and I`m sure it can be done.

Pretty realistic trade if you consider comments of Jim Rutherford and Bill Guerin, they`re history and the players situations. If Billy G likes Kaprizov then Pitt will throw in a prospect. Want Hallander? Bjorkqvist? Sure, here you go. Minny needs and wants a goalie. Guerin came out and said they want a legit goalie and they want a center. Do you think 6`6 centers are available often? Do you think Guerin was involved in bringing Bjugstad to Pitt in the first place? They can make this deal pretty damn close to how it`s constructed. Both teams are better from this trade.

wtf is that wild trade thats horse ****.

also for the other comment just because the wild gm said he wants/we need centers and goalies doesnt mean were giving up the world for just some goalie who hasnt been playing very well and a center thats a3rd line player at most. Pretty sure he said we need top line centers. Ill keep kaprizov and just play rask which we already have on the 3rd or 4th line.

Goalie who hasn`t been playing well? He made the allstar team this year and played 1 game "lately" and played well. Bjugstad would be your second line center. Would be the best shooter on your team outside of maybe Fiala.

If value is slightly off then you can have a prospect too outside of Poulin and POJ.

Bjugstad is a cap dump, nothing more, if MN wanted him he'd be on the team instead of Chucky (also a cap dump, just less term) with the Zucker trade. He holds the same value as Pateryn.
Riikola is waiver fodder in MN, that's if they even bother to QO him.
Jarry is nice but all he's really worth is a 2nd.

And you are wrong PIT is better MN is not

I like how you bring up "real life scenarios" but ignore Kaprizov's. Not only did Minnesota wait 5 years to try to sign the kid, but he also has the highest upside on the roster. Minnesota doesn't even consiider any deal that doesn't give them a 1C+. It's that simple. Idc if you're not as high on him as others, Minnesota believes in him more than anybody and they NEED a true #1C, Bjugstad is not that. He's considered a cap dump if anything.

And while on the subject of cap dumpss, you have them near half retaining on Dubnyk. Yeah that's not happening in a deal like this.

Murray's value is probably at an all time low. Jarry, while good, would be the main piece in this deal for Pittsburgh, and he's just simply not gonna move the needle for Kaprizov. Pittsburgh should resign both goalies and make a decision at the deadline.

Idk much about Riikola but i do know that he's not enough to even make MIN consider

And a 4th round pick? Yeah thats useless in a deal with this many pieces

Now, onto the Domi deal. I'm low on Domi but even with that and him being on the 4th line revently, he'll fetch more than just McCann. Simply put.
