Bjorkstrand would be the number 1 player I protect on CBJ, Dvo the second (behind only Chychrun) I'd protect in ARZ, Bear is also the second best RHD on the team, and i highly doubt EDM would lose him, same with Terry in ANA, the only forwards they'd protect over him is Steel and Rakell... maybe Getz, but he's an expiring contract and said he wouldn't want to go anywhere else so I doubt SEA would pick him, Comtois is exempt i think and I'd keep, Terry over Heinen Silf Jones Milano Henrique etc

Leafs are protecting Hyman

They arent getting Batherson from Ottawa, Dumba from Min, Terry from ANA, Bear from EDM, Dvorak from ARI or the #1 pick in next years draft

Raddysh, McDonaugh, Shattenkirk, Bogosian, Ruuta, Foote and Walcott

I think if you want Seattle to take any of Killorn, Johnson, Palat or Gourde your going to have to send one of Foote, Walcott or Raddysh and a 2nd or 3rd as well.

You lost me when you said Colorado would pay a 1st for Girard. He's obviously going to be protected, no doubt about it.

On what planet doesn’t COL protect Girard? COL is going to lose a player to Seattle in the XD. Single. Take who you want on the list, there won’t be any trades, there won’t be any deals. Take your player and move along.

Barzal, Nelson, Lee, Eberle, Ladd (only because they have to), Pageau and Cizikas.

That would leave the following as at least okay options for expansion drafting:

Bailey, Beauvillier, Leddy, Mayfield

It’d probably be surprising from an outside perspective, but the Isles rely on Cizikas. We play like crap without him anchoring the fourth line. Beauvillier and Bailey would hurt to lose, but we have plenty of wingers in the pipeline to replace them.

Edmonton is protecting Bear, you would have to put this as a 21-22 season to sign guys. Shane Wright would be a nice guy to start a franchise though.

NSH will either protect, trade, or have a deal in place for SEA to no select Ekholm. I see no scenario where NSH willingly let's Seattle take Ekholm.

Girard will be protected 100%. Even if EJ doesnt waive it will be EJ, Makar, Girard protected on D

Also, who would CBJ protect over Bjorkstrand? Hes one of their best forwards - no chance he isnt protected
