A. I don't necessarily disagree, but I will say oiS% more so than s%, but s% to, is extremely variable, and just bc someone has a higher s% doesn't mean they're a better finisher than someone with a lower s%, they could just take shots that have a higher chance of going in, and the other guy has a higher s%Ax, but that is also an extremely variable stat, so ig the guy getting to higher danger areas could still be more valuable (I'm totally thinking of this as I go and arguing with myself lol)
I would say they also need a d man, assuming Skjei and Gards go, they should def pick up someone better than Martinez up fill the top 4 role (or play Gards there, he's hated on way too much imo)

Started out poorly but really came in to his own with the squad and with Dumo out and Letang struggling he definitely helped keep us afloat. Did he have a poor series against the Islanders, absolutely, he wasn't the only one. Him and Cici were a nice pairing and I could see them both coming back though Cici might draw more interest and could get more on the market. Talking salary cap wise I wouldn't mind if Seattle took either Zucker or Matheson.
Who I would protect:
Forwards: Crosby, Malkin, Jake, Rust, tanev, McCann, Kap
Defense: Letand (NCM), Dumo, either Petterson or Marino
He wasn't bad, but still certainly not worth almost 5 mil imo, especially at that term, and Marino doesn't need protected to I would def protect MP

He cost very little, still has good two way game, was PITTS best player the last 3 weeks, and with a single year left at 2.6mil, he'd be worth a fair amount in trade, a low 1st/high 2nd? Carter is only 1 year, and when he expires the cap isn;t flat, so its a sound investment in a flat cap (better than a lot more expensive UFA) for any club looking to get stronger down the middle.</div></div>
I disagree about Carter, while he was very good with us, I doubt SEA, or any team is going to take a 37 year old and not expect him to regress, I wouldn't hate that tho, if they do take him
