Byram takes over second pairing duties in round robin leaving Grave as the odd man out. Don't like giving up Tatar but you have to give quality to get quality.

Bro, Girard is 22, scored 30+ pts avg’d 20+ minutes often taking the top defensive assignment and oh yeah is signed for the next 7 years.
The Avs aren’t trading Girard. The Avs aren’t trading Girard for ANYBODY on MTL 1 for 1. Girard trades to MTL are as bad as Price trades to COL.

There fixed the trade, I didn't realize I had Girard at first then when I checked out the pairings on daily face off it had Graves listed as the Makar's partner above Girard so thought he was the better of the 2 and left Girard in the trade. Mistakes do happen I apologize for this one but wholly crap people need to calm down a bit

Avs say no. We're not trading two good young pieces off our roster for 1 year of Tatar.

Edit: Just noticed that it says that Tatar is extended. Even so, Graves + Kaut is a lot to give up for Tatar. I think there's better deals available via trade and free agency if we're looking to sign a 30 year old forward to a long-term contract.

If Tatar's price as a UFA is going to be $5.25M, MTL should re-sign him.
