Description
I think the forward group has been much improved here. I'm tired of the Sabres being bottom 10 in goals for every year.

I've never been a big Reinhart fan, so I shipped him out with Hutts for a more cost controlled player in Tuch. I may have overpayed some of the bottom six guys but on 1-2 year deals I think it should be fine.

People who are fans of these teams lmk if these trades are fair.

I compared it to the JT Miller trade from last year. I think Domi loses a little value because he'll need a new contract.

Doesn't that make his value higher? Since he's an RFA, it gives Buffalo the ability to negotiate a contract that they like.

Columbus probably accepts but Anderson isn’t signing that. He’ll want a 2.0x1after last season so he can be a UFA and get 5+x5 depending on his bounce back.

Possibly, but I think in today's NHL RFAs have a lot more bargaining power than they did 15 years ago -- ie Marner, Nylander contracts. Especially because Buffalo isn't really a desirable playing location.

Honestly not sure Vegas does that mainly due to finances. With a flat cap, they won’t have enough to pay the difference in Hutton over Dansk as backup G And the difference between Reinhart and Tuch. Your looking at 4 million or so in differences.

They would have to move Stastny just to sign Reinhart then. So I doNt see them essentially moving Tuch, /Stastny and a first off of this team this offseason.

Anderson would need one **** of a bounce back season to get $5M×5, idk you've watched him play more than I, is he really worth that?

The main difference is that Tampa needed to move someone out for cap purposes and Miller had been identified as that person.

MTL isn't at all in the same situation and won't move Domi if they don't get what they want for him. What they want for him isn't futures, it's a comparable piece that can help sooner rather than later.

If he hits 25 goals agin he will get 5x5. Kreider just got 6.5 in an extension for 2 seasons of 28 and a season of 24. And Ehlers got a 6x6 off and ELC for 29 goals and 25 goals. It’s not hard to believe that if Anderson hits 25 and makes it to the open market he gets 5x5. Got solid season and it’s probably a slight overpay due to being on the open market.
