I doubt TB moves Raddysh in order to move Callahan. He's one of the better prospects.

More likely is that they just move a 2nd rounder.

the penguins aren't taking anyone's cap dump.

He's an RFA you can just let him walk and he'll find his own home.

Beaulieu has been pretty good for the Jets actually and Morrow has been serviceable at times so I'd say they're both better than Folin actually plus the Jets have enough defense depth so no need for Folin anyway.
Is Perreault really a salary dump? He put up 30 points with his ice time reduced which isn't too bad, for a team that needs secondary depth scoring and has cap space he'd be a good fit, he works his tail off. He'd be a great fit for the Sabres young team, a good influence on young players as to the work it takes to make it and stay in the NHL. The Jets might be able to trade him for a mid round pick rather then giving up anything to move him.
Habs fans need to realize Hudon isn't worth anything more then a 6th round pick at best, he got 5 points this season, that doesn't make him worth a 3rd round pick... Lol

A 2nd to take on a 5.8 mill cap dump? Good luck finding a GM willing to do that.

For one year it's not too bad. Teams like OTT who need to be closer to the cap floor might take it.

Bigger issue is that NMC on his contract.

Don't kid yourself the Sens management is bad but not that bad. They won't take any "favours" to hit the cap floor. They'll take other team's cap dumps for the highest bid ie prospects + picks. And Callahan to waive his no move clause would have to be bought out I presume.

Well he needs to present a 16 team trade list. They could just move him to the team with most cap space left.

One year left, brings physical game and leadership...I can see some teams being interested, at least ones that consists mostly of young players. NYR for example.

Besides the 2nd rounder also holds value.

A 2nd rounder holds value no arguement there but coming from Tampa it's probably a late round pick and still is no where near what you would need in return for taking 5.8 in cap, that's a lot of cap for an over the hill 3rd or 4th liner. Think more the Mason trade from last year.

Mason trade was Armia+4th+7th, right?

Armia+4th+7th pretty much equals to a 2nd round pick. Bottom-6 winger + two low draft picks.

Well how would you value a max 30 point 3rd or 4th line winger?

3rd line winger, but 25 yo. Was draft 1st round. But I agree, a 2rd pick pretty close for Armia 4th 7th

Late 2rd pick might never play in the Nhl, but Armia already proved in WPG he was a 4th liner who can play on the 3rd line. In MTL, he proved he’s a solid 3rd liner

Yeah, he was stuck in WPG. As a Finn, I'm glad he's performing better in MTL. Gotta give some love to all fellow Finns lol.

The first 3 trades make no sense. You don't trade depth to move up 20 spots in the draft. It's illogical.

I agree. Plus if TB were to buy Callahan out its very cheap.

Hudon isn't going to bring Montreal very much if any thing at all. It's like Frk in Detroit one dimensional. Most likely they will become UFAs when neither are offered a contract for next year.

Armia is like the best 3rd line winger in the league imo, good for 30 maybe even 40 points, reliable and plays well defensively. He can play on the PK and PP and has enough skill that he can be moved into the top 6 if there's an injury and he won't sink the line, hes great at takeaways too and doesn't command a huge salary.
The Jets really effed up when thy traded him, he's really missed in their lineup.

We took a cap dumb to get Armia, the Jets didn’t really ‘’trade’’ him. He was the price to pay to get rid of Mason

Yes I know but the Jets could've went an entirely different route to create cap space.
