Proly many will say a lot for a rental, but screw it, guy is worth it, and for 2020 1st, as i said many times before, we are set for next 5 years, TML dont need 2019 1st round and now the shocker, they dont even need 2020 1st round, cause if 2021 1st round is the earliest great prospect to draft, he will have three years to make it to team, 2022 1st will have two years to fill what will be depleted after "next five years" period etcetc

The ninny trade needs a RW and needs to be right handed... for the overpay You are giving them I think they say yes though.

I like that third line. With wingers like that I think petan can cover the middle.

4th line is a bit shakey but meh... it’s a 4th line. I hope dubas signs Bracco to a 2 year inevway deal before making him a full time roster player. Let’s check pt 2.

Ye, i noticed MIN hunt for Kapanen, but then @Tansor had another thread ( which he edited later ) where they acquire Kadri and ship him away i guess it was WPG, so mainly him as the piece for getting them what is needed, tho i think Kadri would be 2#C at anytime in MIN also.

Third Line is my experiment for some time now, you noticed in previous threads i made 1x 2,7M probe for both to show if they can mass points without Matthews before getting longterm contract. its still an option tho, but they could come out expensiver next year, where Arvidsson was my comparable for them with 4 x 4,2M

As you said, 4th Line is....well forth Line, the sandbox for kids to show if they are ready to play with big guys.....

The thread I posted was a 3 way trade so we never really "acquired" Kadri, I just had to move him to the Wild in order to move him to the Jets to make it work on this site. You're right, he would be a 2C on our team; but we don't need another left shot 2C, we need right shot forwards. If we're in any trade revolving around Kadri, I would want another deal in place that moves him for the piece we need.

As for your trade, it is an overpayment for a year of Spurgeon. In the thread you linked I had Spurgeon inked to a contract extension so he wasn't a rental there. I'd be alright with the return you have since it is an overpayment, but I'd really hope the plan isn't to keep Kadri. He's a good player and all, just not what we need since we're in a rebuild.

I'll echo what I've been saying for a year: Spurgeon is a fantastic fit for the Leafs and Dubas should be doing anything he can to try and get him.
