NJ may be open to trading the 10th pick but i doubt its gonna be for a haul of picks or futures. If they move that pick it will be to help them win now. Like get a goalie or something

ducks dont pass on levshunov if hes available at 3. Mctavish wont be playing wing, zegras will likely be the center that moves to wing.

heres a scenario just as likely to happen.
Islanders trade barzal and dobson to anaheim for a 7th round pick and a gas station gift card

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CM_Insane</b></div><div>I won't argue on fit but holy overpayment by Vancouver Hronek is a 26 year old 2/3 Defenceman no matter how you look at him. Garland is a 28 year old middle six. Vatrano had a great year (at 30) last year but has 1 30 goal and 2 20 goals years in his career and Strome is a 31 year old and a fine 3rd line C.</div></div>
comes down to need, not an assessment on production or skill. Hronek simply isnt a fit in anaheim, therefore, his value in their eyes is lower. Value in vancouvers eyes is higher, cause he had a great season. The trade however, just isnt a fit. Hence, why both sides see the value as being off

Absolute delusion from top to bottom. islanders are giving up the equivalent of a washing machine for a kings ransom on both trades. comical stupidity here

Nursa probably has the worst and most unload-able contract in the league. kings ransom needs to be included to get someone to take that contract. that deal is hilarious

Ducks arent going to go backwards in their rebuild, what kind of logic is that? Mctavish, a key piece of a rebuild, lets trade him for an unproven, middle ceiling D-man at best, even though the ducks have one of the deepest Defense prospect pools AND then draft another mctavish and push back the rebuild by 3 more years? not 1% of this trade idea makes any sense

Lacombe can and did play both sides this season. It just came down to who I thought STL would target with that pick, cause where they sit, the prospects begin to blend together and need becomes most important. I saw STL as a team that if they didnt get "Their guy" theyd be happy to move down. Just how i saw things though. Depends who they are after at 16

theres not a goalie in the league who would have good numbers on this ducks team over the last 5 years. blaming a goalie behind one of the leagues most embarssing defensive structures under Eakins and a rebuilding team? People seems to forget how un-****ing-believable he was when the ducks were actually a good team.

JT simply not waiving. He's not gonna waive for any where. he has one year left, likely to sign team friendly deal after that. Marner much more likely but still highly unlikely he waives for utah

Kulich seems like a good option. Hes already proven to produce in the AHL. add a good pick with that and I think its good value. Kulich could step right into winnipegs lineup

This deal does not get you Ehlers. Jets biggest need is on the blueline.
You didn't adjust the salary cap for this post so there would be an additional $4.3~million for Jets to play with.
Ville Heinola is likely in this top 6 next season also.</div></div>
Brossoit isn't a starter. Winnipeg pays more than the open market cause... Winnipeg. Stanley may not get 1.5. Namestnikov is a dime a dozen when you have youngsters capable of producing similarly. Iafallo is useless for 4M and jets have plenty of cap questions.
Which brings up ehlers. Lose Connor next year then?

Maybe something like this
3.5M match on a 22 year old top 10 pick? They're not taking the compensation for that on a bet perfetti doesn't pan out. Kotkaniemi got over 6M on an offer sheet after very similar production as perfetti thus far. Jets match easy.

Buff-a-GO
Seems like it'd make sense for both sides. Pitt takes on no more cap, and Buffalo gets to drop 5M at the end of the year to help sign youngsters to new deals. Sid can make producers out of anyone it seems so, skinner would be a fit on his wing I think

Right around the 16-18 mark of the first round is where prospects really start to blend together and I see alot of guys going to teams based solely on need, not necessarily best available. If blues dont think they can get "their guy" at 16, this would be great value for them. just depends who they want

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CHAR</b></div><div>I think you are at least 2M light on Pesce. In a world where Orlov got 1x7.75M I can't imagine Pesce's next contract doesn't start with a "7". I also see the Ducks signing one RD but not two. The 3rd pair guy will be some budget option like Lindstrom.
Retention on Gibson's contract is always the kicker. My opinion is that the team wants to retain zero, but we'll see on that.
Duclair is great and I like him a ton but he's just too redundant with Vatrano. I think the Ducks want to set their sights higher at a true top six right wing so that they can push Frankie down onto the 3rd line where you have Duclair.</div></div>
I signed 2 RHD cause the ducks just have so much cap and really need help with shutdown guys on the back-end.
As for duclair, I know verbeek said he wants to improve bottom 6 scoring. Frankie is just not a 3rd line guy, he thrived in the top 6 I dont see him being shuffled down the lineup.
Retention is definitely the kicker. I dont see gibson with much trade value at full cap hit for a lot of teams. I think if it works in numbers, retaining some to get a better return would be good. PRoblem is, gibson has moderate control over where he goes and he wants to win. Teams ready to win either dont need a goalie or cant afford him full price. Ducks need to get Dostal the net for 70-80 percent of the year. Maybe detroit could afford him and be a situation he would go to?
