is gaudreaus contract even considered bad? he got 60 points in a down year? 9.7 is a lot but if he bounces back hes easily a point per game player for the next 3 years and hes only got 5 years left so not like he has - value. id do that deal in a heart beat tho.
id pass on the MTL deal. someone will take ceci for nothing or a late throw in pick from us. holloway id only move if we got significantly better which i dont see that deal doing anything. Pavelski is retiring and even if hes not i doubt he goes anywhere but Dal or sjs.

Gaudreau is a bad contract 60 point guys make around 6 mill so thats way too much but tbh I dont know if columbus would do that swap its worth a shot tho and for the montreal deal I mean you are getting a really good defensive defenseman in a savard and a cheap responsible 6'5 defenseman in kovecevic and you get rid of ceci on top of that and all it costs is holloway who hasent been able to break out, a b tier prospect and a second so id say its worth it but thats just me

Gaudreau was tied for 12th in the entire league for 5v5 primary assists. The problem is the team around him, not him. Nurse and Gaudreau are in no way comparable.

Columbus rejects. Nurse is a terrible contract. Gaudreau is still very effective, the coaches have been a lot of the problem.

Edm is not going to be able to move Nurse. Campbell’s contract is almost unmoveable, too. For all intents and purposes, Edm is going to have to make some tough decisions. Most options are not going to be liked by the fan base.

No way Habs are moving 2x RHD in the off season. I wouldn't feel comfortable with Barron and Mailloux running the top 2 pairings on the Habs, even if Ceci would be on the roster (he's a bottom pairing). Sorry no deal.

Even if Columbus had any interest in that deal (which is a hard no), I'd have a tough time believing JG would waive his full NMC he took specifically to be near his family in the states to go back to Alberta.
