Seth Jones has value to the Hawks, even without retention. You could take out the #2 pick but leave Jones with retention, and the Hawks still probably decline.

Hawks aren't retaining on Seth Jones. A.) we have a TON of cap space. B.) we create a massive hole on the right side that literally no UFA can fill this off season C.) that jeopardizes our prospect development. Vlasic has been amazing. At least part of that is due to proper prospect development. Can't risk ruining that now. Seth Jones will not be part of any WPG trade...I doubt ANY trade at all. Unless he asks for a trade which has never been reported by anyone reputable.
