Welcome to Cap friendly, as I'm sure you've heard, it's not always friendly. Quinn is a former 8th overall pick, the Sabres may have reached on him (most mocks I saw had him in the late teens or later), and what was really bizarre to me, was the Sabres passed on rossi, perfetti, and lundell to take Quinn, a winger. I took it as a subtle reassurance that eichel was staying with the team, I mean if you are gonna lose your franchise center, draft a center with your top 10 pick. But, Quinn has been a pleasant surprise, he is a dedicated two way winger, who puts up pretty decent offensive numbers, which is more than advertised when he was drafted (most reports had him as offense only). Since then, the only concern is injuries. The Sabres are loaded with forwards, I think Quinn is a core player, but if there's a trade that makes the team better both now and in the future, I think you've gotta listen. This is a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 13 years, there's only so many players that can be untouchable. Having said all of that, you would have to give up something awfully nice to have a Quinn trade even considered, plus suter doesn't start a conversation.
