Chicago probably accepts the AA deal at the trade deadline but the other two aren't happening.

Marner is worth that to Columbus but Chicago somehow manages to get him for a late 1st and also hands off the worst contract in the game. Thats capfriendly logic, just not being a leaf triples ones value.

It’s funny how Marner is only worth Seth Jones, an average prospect, and a late first when the Blackhawks are trading for him (and with a good, young NHL RD also coming to the Hawks). But then he is suddenly worth a good prospect and a top 5 pick when you flip him the the Blue Jackets.

There definitely isn't an anti leaf bias at work here eh?

None of those trades are happening, aside from maybe the AA trade. I would be on board with bringing Kane back, but we'll have to wait and see.

Most Hawks fans on here don't even want Marner. This isn't a serious proposal anyway because there's no way Chicago is getting rid of their #1 RD, their best RD prospect, and a 1st on top of it. All this deal does is put a massive hole in both their current lineup and their prospect pool, as well as giving up draft capital that they're in no position to give up.

Yeah that's what it is. Has nothing to do with Leafs fans overvaluing the return they think they're getting for a late 20s winger who only has one year left on his contract, is going to want a huge extension, and has a NMC on top of that.

I mean this proposal is just as bad if not worse than what leafs fans propose and that’s coming from a jackets fan who has seen 100+ marner trade proposals on here where leafs are ripping off the jackets for marner

Yes yes, but when he’s traded away from Chicago he’s suddenly a 99 point winger selke finalist who’s in the prime of his career and available to be locked up long term

Late 20s😂? Dude just turned 27…disagree with trade proposals all you want but stay on planet earth. Marner is in his prime.
And in any trade scenario - pretty obvious, he agrees to an extension prior so one year left on his deal is a red herring.
The NMC is only logical thing you cited - he likely doesn’t waive to join one of the worst teams in the league

They could give Roy 6 million and have a better #1 defenceman. Jones is a decent offensive 2nd pair defender but he is in no way a #1 or worth anything close to what he makes for another 6 years. Getting out from under the future buyout Seth Jones is a masterpiece move. Getting Marner to do so is the most epic win anyone will ever see. It absolutely better not happen.
