And he's actually played well and been a useful locker room glue guy for us, so we're not in any rush to move him in the first place; indeed, finding another guy like that will likely push that into negative cap for the Jackets. No thanks.

No, that's not even close to true. Jarnkrok is as middle six winger as a middle six winger gets and he is fairly paid for it.
Gudbranson has literally been one of the worst defensive players in the entire league for 97% of his career and isnt worth 1/3 his contract
