Détails additionnels:
I'd assume in this set of circumstances that TK would be extending in Anaheim long term.

The reality is this: I think TK is going to be too expensive for the Flyers to justify extending with Michov on the way and Foerster looking incredibly promising. As for Frost, I think he could and probably should be a big part of the future moving forward, but I don't think the fit is there with Tortorella, and after a contentious year I think the organization finally moves on from him despite him having a great season.

Having said that, I don't think it makes sense to go hunting for draft picks for them, they need high end talent and they need it fast. Zegras is really the only option on the market that can be a potential top-6 Center for them long term, so they jump the gun and do this while they can

Rather keep Turcotte unless he’s traded for similar talent. Not a future pick.

Maybe a Turcotte Holtz swap type deal.

0% Chance Hawks even consider that. Reichel has a higher ceiling and Hawks are stacked on young LHD.

I based this value off of a Hawks fan who sold Reichel for a 4th

Is Turcotte waiver eligible next season? Sort of the difference between agreeing with you or thinking that this is a significant overpay

I don’t see how the TK trade helps either team. We need to continue to stack top talent not trade it 1 for 1 or we still won’t have enough of it. Don’t see Chicago or Kings accepting. And that Ottawa trade stinks for the Flyers they should be getting that for Laughton at minimum without salary coming back to us

Hawks decline. Reichel played really well after his call up a few weeks ago so I don't see the Hawks moving on from him anytime soon unless someone overpays for him.

What's the issue with Zemula? It's probably misleading, but every time I watch the Flyers he's pretty solid. I must be missing something.

His contract page says he's expected to lose eligibility this upcoming season. Kind of changes the entire dynamic of the trade, if he is waiver eligible he's not even worth a 2nd at this point IMO, if he isn't then yeah I'd be looking for a Holtz swap or something like that

Even if the Hawks were ready to move on from Reichel (which they aren't), a pint sized LD is the last thing they'd want back in a trade. Easiest of declines.

And funny how you don't see Frost as a good fit playing for Torts, but that Zegras would be.

Everyone has a fan who loves to overreact.

Hawks have nothing but time for Reichel and he's showed he's got what it takes (look at the last 20 games of 22-23). I think it would take a 1st or similar value to get him from the Hawks at this time. Also would have to be an asset other than LHD, they arguably already have their top 2 LHD in a 22 and 19 year old, with 3 other solid prospects left to fight for 3LD or learn to play their offside.

He's... fine. I actually like him as a long term bottom pairing guy, but the problem is we already extended Seeler for that role and I don't think he's good enough to justify being a strong developmental partner for Drysdale. There's also an angle to this where I still think there's fairly untapped potential in Valimaki's game, so I don't consider this giving him away by any stretch

Jesus, you guys are brutal about the Reichel thing. I took the damn trade idea from a Hawks fan lmao

As for the Frost/Zegras thing, I've realized people grossly misunderstand Tortorella the last couple of years. He's been more than fine with players who don't defend particularly well and play with skill so long as they work hard (which Zegras does, I don't think he gets enough credit for that). Everyone thought he'd hate TK and Tippett, when in reality he absolutely loves both of them. With Frost in particular, he just has a weird bone to pick that I don't think anyone truly understands

I'd say TK is too old to be the main part of the trade, if we're sending out Zegras, we'd be looking for a piece that'll be around as long as he can. Frost not only doesn't close that gap for us, I don't think he has a home on our roster.

You've got an overabundance of RW, it makes sense to exchange that for a center, but from anaheims POV, it's got to be Foerster or Tippett, and you guys just got Tippett signed to a sweetheart deal, and there'd be a strong preference for Foerster by Anaheim, so the add would be a lot higher on Tippett.

What's infuriating from a Flyers fan perspective is that in hindsight (and honestly I said this well before he was extended) Tippett by leaps, bounds, valleys and miles would've made the most sense to trade in a package for a player like Zegras. Like you said, TK has some questions regarding his age and long term fit, and at this point Foerster is simply too good to justify moving (I'm not sure the general public has fully caught on to how good this kid is, I think he's a special player). The long term fit was never there with Tippett, and now we're stuck with more than we know what to do with...

Torts has probably has to go. Has worn out his effectiveness as an NHL coach, which is his gig for the past 15 years.

It's a weird situation with him. I think had we not acquired Drysdale that they'd give him a true chance to develop in that 2LHD role long term, and I think he really can do it. He's a pretty good skater who can shoot the puck well and has size, he's not the best at 1-on-1 physical play and some of his decision making leaves a bit to be desired, but I think that can improve. But now you're in a position where you cannot afford to stick a player who might have growing pains themselves next to Drysdale in a long term role, his ceiling is too high to justify doing anything other than maximizing his ability to develop to the highest degree.

So long answer short: they won't give him away, but if a deal makes sense I don't think they hesitate to trade him

Thanks for the advice. Think was safer being a witch in 17th century New England then upsetting some Flyer FANatics and their love for Torts.
With Torts, it's always the same. Starts off being an an effective coach, but he seems he can't adversary. Then it never be any of his fault, it will always be the players fault for not listening to the Great Oz.
He'll be fired, collect his pay. Get a job on TV. Will talk like a genius, knowing how to fix any teams problems. Get's hired by some sucker GM, and the cycle will continue...team after team after team.

I really don't get this sentiment that Torts is someway bad for the team and needs to be fired. Sure he isn't perfect. but he has done a lot of good for this team already. How has he worn out his effectiveness when he just took the team from the bottom of the league, nearly into the playoffs?

I mean, you still can. His trade protection doesn't kick in for a couple of years.

That said, this is also Zegras were talking about, he's also a very special talent.
