Description

What does Montreal need? Maybe game breakers. Maybe just high quality prospects in the pipeline. I like Minny using their first this offseason as a trade chip and maybe a deal like this is a fit for both teams

I like moving out Anderson (fresh start, get value before it’s too late) but it sure seems like Montreal should move another dman for a forward prospect.

Like a Zegras I guess. But I wouldn’t give any value for Zegras. Interesting offseason for the Habs with all the D depth.

Minnesota isn’t paying to take on a major cap dump. Anderson costs at minimum a 1st+ to dump

Make that future considerations going to Montreal and Minnesota still delines they're in Cap hell and they pay a premium futures asset to screw their cap further? Bill Guerin would have to be brain dead to do this.

You could add the Winnipeg 2024 first and downgrade the Minnesota pick to their 2024 second and this would still be a tough sell due to the Wild's cap situation.

Face it -- nobody's taking Anderson's boat-anchor contract off your hands, especially a team up against the cap ceiling like Florida, Los Angeles, Minnesota or Tampa.
