Andy Waives NMC for Cali beaches and better media.
Carrier signed in 25' offseason, replaces Savard
Toffoli signed in 24' offseason, replaces Anderson
Vancouver trade could be just the 1st rounder, or just Räty. Preferably both.

Edmonton gets a rusty Dvo who needs a change of system, he is still elite at the dot and can win important face offs when called upon. Hopefully his production can spark even a little bit for EDM's b6. Kovi can replace Ceci as there really isn't a down grade past Ceci's level

Was about to say, zadina is better than Anderson right now, will be cheap. A 5.5 x 3 cap dump is gonna cost more than a third and a 7th without factoring Zaddy Daddy into the deal

Yeah, I'm sure EDM is itching to commit 4.45mil in cap to a guy that likely isn't even be their 3C. And yes, there are a plenty of downgrades on Ceci around the league.

McLeod and RNH handle what Dvo would , so i dont get it from EDM POV
Anderson deal i dont see being a fit for SJS nor do i see him going to as he has a 8 team no trade list and they're at the start of their rebuilding
VAN has their Defense pretty locked up right now with Wallander and Petterson team Sweden top pair internationally in the WJC joining them sooner than later

Dvo back to ARZ makes some sense
It gives ARZ a way to profit off Dvo again
They could use a bulk faceoffs guy and MTL could use it to acquire McBain who fits our needs as a Physical Forward with Size we can use on Wing beside Dach for Support.
Mcbain-Dach-Anderson will see Andersons Value rise im sure as it did beside Dach alone the past few years but with Mcbain as well this would give him a big Power Forward line.
Even if that doesnt work out there is Josh Roy who could succeed beside them just as well if not more.

Savard until after the playoffs wont have a clear home
Too many teams acquired pending UFA players to fill a void they arent certain yet how thats gone
Until then looking at a Savard at anything less then a steal wont happen

Pipe dream.
Habs are stuck with Anderson & Dvorak contracts unless they add significant sweeteners to dump them.
Savard will get traded for a 3rd + at next year’s TDL (same as Edmunson this year); he’s too slow to demand more but some team could use him on 3rd pair or as 7th dman.

You have 15 million in cap space why are you dumping Anderson? Just scratch him or bury him in the minors.

Canucks pass easily. Raty and the 1st are the two best assets in that trade, wouldn’t give up either for Savard let alone both

Nemec or a 1st
Nemec was a pipe dream same as every team that throughs "and Reinbacher" into every MTL trade these days.
1st was the going rate established by dozens or Professionals. What fans with no connection think doesnt really truly matter.
Kulak everyone said the return we got was impossible , we got it(and Hutson as a result)
Chiarot everyone said wasnt worth a 2nd let alone a 1st and we got it.(
Toffoli return everyone laughed at us for suggesting he's worth a 1st + a B+ or A- Prospect and you guessed it, we got it
Jake Allen getting a conditional 2nd was laughed at , Jeff Petry we profited off Twice and was laughed at saying we'd have to pay two 1st's to move him.
Joel Edmunston we were told no return we'd have to pay and we made the trade for two picks.

The Beauty about Kent Hughes is he knows how to deal with GM's and negotiate with them using Leverage as it was his job for years as an Agent.
Now the value he maximizes is players returns even on the ones people think are impossible to move , even the ones that have no market really like Desmith to start the season

MTL had 4 goalies and everyone said no GM would give us any pick because we had 2 goalies of the 4 that needed to be sent down and in the end Hughes waited and MTL got a 3rd and a 4th round pick for the pair of Goalie that most thought would be waiver bound.

Anderson 2 year now deals didnt happen with multiple teams because of his Cap and they wanted MTL to RS
Issue is Hughes Weaponizes his Retain Salary slots to increase his profits so it was not an option over 4-5 years term
Now we're entering the final 3 years with 2/3 RS spots occupied for 1 more year so most likely at the Draft in 2025 or in the summer we'll see him move
Just when we're starting to compete and just as we'll start needing that cap so we got 1 more year of Anderson and likely he'll be moved , which fits our timeline anyways.
Teams like Anderson just not at 5.5m but more at a 3 to 3.5m tops type deal

Andersons a good player who people like but like Sean Monahan or Corey Perry he'll be crapped on right up until this contract ends sadly as thats how fans minds work these days.
TBH i'd keep him in MTL if he was 2m cheaper
